“Not a very nice place. Grumpy old guy. Dated furnishings. The beds were up on blocks of wood on which i stubbed my toe and bled everywhere. We did a 7 night road trip and this was the the worst place. Would not recommend. ”

“We had a great stay at Best Western Pier Point Inn! The location is absolutely beautiful—right by the river with stunning views that made the whole experience even more relaxing for my family.
The rooms were very clean, neat, and comfortable, and we really appreciated the quiet and cozy atmosphere—perfect for a family getaway. One small detail was that the toilet seat felt a bit smaller than usual, which was a little unusual, but everything was spotless and well-maintained.

“We stayed at Florence Lighthouse Inn and had a mixed but ultimately improved experience.
Our initial room had some significant issues—the shower wasn’t working and the air vent was very noisy, which made it uncomfortable for my family. After raising our concerns, the team responded and moved us to a much better suite. We do appreciate the effort, though moving luggage with the family was not ideal, and we were left wondering why the better room wasn’t assigned from the start.

“This hotel is located pretty far down at the end of a road, ways out of the main town. The shower drain was clogged with hair and sand and hairties. There was cigarette ashes in one of the 2 beds. These beds are advertised as queens but they are "fulls" and the staff is very rude. I did nkt have much interaction with the staff but when in the lobby i observed them on many occasions treating others poorly. ”

“My partner and I had such a lovely time here. I don’t even know where to start. The room was very cute, comfortable, clean and had a soaking tub ( and some lovely bath salts) that was a real treat. We took a nice little swim in the lake which was the perfect temperature. The gentleman who owns this place is friendly and professional, i felt welcome and at ease while interacting with him. I met a dog and a cat. The cat was perfect in every way- mysterious yet friendly, unafraid and unconcerned.……
