Ly New York Hotel

"We had booked a double room months before our travel date. When we arrived they checked us in and gave us our key. We get to the room and upon entering realize the room was already occupied. The front desk said they didn't know how we were even able to make a reservation since they were full. We stated we've had this reservation. they they offered a single room or find another hotel but at our expense. Being it was now late in the evening we took the single room, which was inconvenient. They didn't offer to compensate for the room difference or anything else. They did give us a double for the second night. Would think twice before booking here again."

"Hotel looked nothing like the photos online. Upon check-in there was already confusion with the room assignment, which made the experience feel unorganized. The lobby furniture appeared stained and unclean, and there was loud music coming from other rooms/floors. The room itself was in very poor condition. It had a strong smoke odor, the smoke detector was detached from the ceiling, and there was visible dirt and debris throughout the room, including the AC vents and bathroom floor. The bed sheets and curtains appeared stained, and some furniture looked heavily worn and unclean. We ended up checking out shortly after seeing the condition of the room. Staff did offer another room, but unfortunately we did not feel comfortable staying. Overall, the cleanliness and upkeep did not match the listing photos or expectations"

"Horrible staff members, they were super rude. One came to my room door knocking super hard being rude, because supposedly he got a complaint of us being loud when we were already in bed watching movies and my 4 year old sleeping and waking her up, then he comes and says “I’m not saying is you guys but if we get another complaint we were gonna have a serious problem” like that’s super rude and unprofessional. Just assuming and then coming to knock on our door like crazy and waking up my daughter."

"The bedsheets had blood stains & yellow stains & lashes stuck on the blankets. There was stains EVERYWHERE on the curtains, on the baseboards, bathroom walls, etc They definitely did not clean the room. I asked for extra sheets and had to explain that my room was filthy and he looked at me with a blank expression with absolutely no care. It is not worth the money please book somewhere else. I only needed one night and I absolutely did not want to go back to the hotel. I was afraid of bringing home bed bugs & roaches. Whoever owns the hotel seriously needs to come do an inspection."
