"Excellent location relative to bus service to Machu Picchu. They have a bus stop within about 30 feet of the hotel. The rooms overlook the river. Our 4th floor room had a balcony (shared with adjacent room). The river is LOUD! There’s no AC or fan, but temp was ok for us in March. No elevator, so be prepared to climb. Bed was comfy and the property appears to have been renovated relatively recently. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. "

"We loved our stay at Tierra Viva Machu Picchu. Great communication and extremely helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered at a nice early start in the morning for Machu Picchu departures. Ice cold water, hot water, coffee and tea offered 24Hours.
Also, they transport your luggage to the train station for you and have everything waiting for you when you get there which is so helpful.
The location is right by the river and you don’t hear the loud train going by.
Perfect stay and I would not hesitate to stay there again."
