Family Vacation

We loved our stay at Kayak Cove…the house is beautiful and clean. Our grandchildren loved the paddle boards, kayaks and the pool. We watched the Ospreys catch fish from the screened in porch every evening. This house is PERFECT!

Family vacation

My husband and I are celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and chose to celebrate at this house. My children and grandchildren stayed with us. We all had a fabulous time! Kayaking on the lake and late night hot tub was so much fun! Best decision!

Gorgeous Home perfect for a group getaway

Kayak Cove was the perfect stay for our large group getaway! The home is very large and is situated with a gorgeous view of Lake Norman. We loved enjoying our morning coffee from the screened in porch. The home has everything you will need while staying away from home and every detail is well thought out. The host is easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I highly recommend Kayak Cove and hope to stay there again myself in the future. Thank you!

Great Stay!

This house was beyond what my family and I thought it was going to be. The house was so clean and had everything you needed. The owner was what made the house. She was so nice and went out of her way to take care of us. It was my parents 30th anniversary and the owner left them the sweetest treat. we are looking forward to book again!

Fabulous

This property is simply wonderful and was the perfect spot for our family to spend a week on the lake. Plenty of space, clean, fully stocked, amazing location (those views!), and a fabulous pool! The game room came in handy when it rained - the ping pong table and poker table were favorites. We spent our mornings enjoying coffee on the screened in porch enjoying a killer view of the lake. Kristen was a great host - thank you!

Awesome Accomendations

Greatest family and friends vacation to date. Boat rental delivered right to the dock. Did lose electrical power a few times but made family time out it. Used the gas grill to cook and set up the camp fire. Left a day early due to the electrical power outage the second time. Great home and host!

Fabulous Family Bonding Time

We had a fantastic time here. My sons and husband went fishing, we played ping pong and foozball. The layout was great for our whole group to play charades in the den on the lower floor. We all loved the kayaks and the paddleboards (which were the more sturdy and stable variety). The beds were very comfortable and the setting was stunning. We had a long view of the lake and a wonderful porch to sit on and just 'chill' watching the sunset. It was a superb combination of stunning and peaceful yet full of fun ways to bond and enjoy ourselves. The owners were very responsive and a pleasure to speak to!

Beautiful home and outdoor spaces!!

This is a beautiful home with room for everyone to have their own private space but also spend time all together cooking, playing games and just visiting! Our family took full advantage of the fantastic outdoor space by swimming in the pool, fishing, using our boat from the dock, paddle boarding and kayaking. We were a family of 10 ranging from ages 6-68. We experienced a severe storm that took out the power at the beginning of our stay. Kristen and her family immediately brought a generator and solar lights to help with our situation even though they were also with out electricity as well. She was extremely easy to work with and communicated regularly with us during our stay. We highly recommend this lovely home and all of our family agree that it was the best home we’ve rented on VRBO!!!

Perfect Long Weekend

I do not have enough superlative adjectives to describe how wonderful our experience was. The owners are beyond accommodating and there is a level of professionalism within the home that I have yet to encounter in a rental home which still maintains such warmth and appeal. The view is better than pictured and the property is nicely nestled in a fairly private area. We heated the pool and it was perfect throughout the weekend and was enjoyed by all. The house is also much larger than expected. The lowest level is absolutely huge and was enjoyed by my son and his six college friends who visited for the weekend. They enjoyed the ping pong table and other indoor attractions, but spent most of their time on the lake or on the large patio and pool area. This house is great for large groups as my husband and I barely saw or heard my son and his friends most of the time. We also enjoyed the screened in porch which had great lake views. This house was simply beyond our expectations and we could not have been more pleased.

Fabulous Family Trip to Lake Norman

We had a wonderful time vacationing at Lake Norman! Kayak Cove was the perfect house for our extended family ages 3! Kristen was an amazing host with excellent communication before & during our trip! The house was very clean, fully stocked with anything we could need and provided the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy lake life while making memories with our family!

We had 13 people and there was room for everyone. The screened in front porch and pool were wonderful. The owner was very responsive to our requests. The only downside was that the water around the dock is not suitable for swimming, but the pool made up for that.

Lake house was Best house

We had a great time with family at this well laid out house that had everything we needed for our family stay. With seven young children the pool was a major plus. Our host couple were the best, very responsive when we had a minor issue with the tv’s, solved within 30 minutes. Definitely recommend this house

Amazing Property

For the last 5 years my mother in law has lived with us.. each year we rent a house on Lake Norman so she can “have her Christmas”. My wife…sister in law and her family … brother in law and his (visits for a day since they live close). This has been the best house yet! Right after we booked they asked if we could like Christmas tree set up (how great is that)! Communication was perfect before and during the stay. The house is beautiful with everything you need and want. We loved this place! Open. Spacious. Just amazing.
