I recently stayed at the red roof inn in Charlottesville Va and the rooms were update and housekeeping was acceptable, my experience ended in tragedy.
As per the hotel policy on housekeeping days I caged my dog “fur baby” and left her in the room while I was out at work. She was perfectly healthy and in great spirits when I left. However when I returned everything had changed my dog was unable to walk, she was vomiting, not eating, not barking and clearly not herself. When I’m off and it house keeping day she’s normal, she will get caged and come back. This only happened when I was gone for more than 2-3 hours.
Immediately reported this to the front desk attendant which was Luna who was compassionated and professional, she escalated the issue to her manager name Pinki whose response was shockingly dismissive and careless.
Tragically my dog passed away a few days later. I’ve made multiple attempts to speck with management Pinki since then, but my calls have gone unanswered and unreturned.
This experience has been devastating I entrusted this PET FRIENDLY HOTEL with basic level of safety and care during my stay and that trust was broken in the worst possible way,I’m sharing this in hopes that no other pet owners has to go through what I’m going through.
