If you’re interested in history, you won’t want to miss the nearby castles of Bamburgh and Alnwick. Bamburgh Castle is one of the most iconic landmarks in Northumberland and is well worth a visit. Alnwick Castle is also a must-see, especially if you’re a fan of Harry Potter, as it was used as a filming location for the movies.
