Good stay and great breakfast- good location from the town . Only downside was parking as long way from car park with bags and never a space at pub as staff seemed to be parked there all day and evening

Very clean room , staff really friendly and helpful. Food amazing.
Very nice stay, clean & comfortable, good food, easy parking and close to all we wanted to see.
One very minor downfall was the noise from a dishwasher/kitchen below our room. Would happily stay again.
Very near to the town nice walk in we stayed in a dog froendly room which was lovely bed great we stayed one night restaurant large and great food lovely and staff nice welcome from owner on arrival
Stayed here before so we hopefully knew what to expect.
Lovely room with a great comfy bed and facilities, shower and en-suite all working well and very clean.
Short walk into town, bar and restaurant are excellent, will be back next year.
Lovely homely friendly place.
They kindly let us check in early as we needed to change for a funeral.
So I am not sure if normally shower gel is provided, there was soap which I used.
Note to self 'pack some'
Beautiful room very clean & comfy
Absolutely lovely place! The staff were so kind and the rooms were perfect for us. Limited parking on site but street parking nearby. The pub was fabulous. Best hotel in the Cotswolds! We would stay here again for sure.
The Mouse Trap Inn is very quaint and we had an enjoyable 1night stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms are small but in keeping with the nature of the town and age of the building. We recommend this as a delightful place to stay.
We had a fabulous night away at The Mousetrap Inn. Michelle and her team made us feel very welcome. A hidden gem offering delicious food, lovely accommodation and a perfect location. Thank you Michelle for looking after us so well :)
Arrived to find hot water system throughout entire hotel was broken and could not be accommodated. Staff friendly and efficiently transferred the booking to a nearby hotel with a smooth transition.

Nice stay, staff extremely friendly, very convenient location- close to everything you’d want to visit in Bourton On The Water- Hawkstone a 25 minute walk. Only criticism is that breakfast let it down, slow service, dirty napkin and overdone toast & muffin. Limited car park spaces- top tip arrive early.
didn't get to sample the food due to a fire in the kitchen some weeks before , staff and everything else was fine.

The Mousetrap was a short walk from the Centre of Bourton-on-the-Water, so very conveniently situated.
When I stayed it had no parking facilities, perhaps because work was being carried out on part of the building, I'm not sure. We parked in the Royal British Legion car park, which was a 5 minute walk away.
The room and bathroom were, in my opinion, tired, and needed sprucing up. Paint was peeling off in the bathroom and the electric shower only worked if you kept your finger on the 'start' button. The basin didn't drain properly.
On the plus side, the staff were very helpful and the room clean and comfortable.

Very friendly helpful service. Comfortable bedrooms with a fan already provided for our hot weather stay.Very clean with plenty of towels, shampoo etc. No tea/coffee facilities in the rooms, although the very pleasant lady in reception/bar offered tea and coffee while the bar was open. She wasn’t there in the morning however and unfortunately a fire a few weeks earlier meant the kitchen was out of action so we had to walk to a different location for breakfast, where there was only one chef on duty. Service was very slow, although we did get tea and coffee quite quickly. The poached eggs in the eggs royale were hard, not the fault of the Mousetrap, so a bit disappointing. When the Mousetrap’s kitchen is up and running v again we would happily stay again.

Good location in Village
The Mousetrap Inn is located on the main road into Bourton - walking distance into the village which is positive. Checking in via the bar staff was perfect and the staff were very helpful. The car park however was very small so not ideal. Our room was small but clean and tidy but unfortunately looked out onto the very small car park which had a mobile refrigeratiion unit which was on 24/7. We thought the room was overpriced but due to it being summer and Bourton being a tourist attraction, the room rate was priced accordingly .... I guess. We had dinner in the evening, however due to the fact it was a Sunday we had to leave the restaurant/bar at 8.30 and go somewhere else to finish off our evening. The bar/restaurant staff were very helpful and sympathised with us. It seems strange that the rooms are dealt with separately from the Inn itself. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay but felt the room rate was expensive for what we actually received.

A better eating than sleeping experience
If you want delicious food in the evening and a bed for the night in a pretty village, then you won’t be disappointed. Staff were friendly too. However the room was tiny and very dated and the en suite was not much more than a cupboard, soundproofing is very poor. Breakfast was a little bit Fawlty Towers, I was told a flat white wasn’t a problem but was given a cup of black coffee,Asking for hot milk seemed to be disconcerting. Toast was forgotten, there was no salt, pepper or jams and marmalades on the table and there were apologies for the lack of yoghurt for my muesli, which was very basic and dry. The general sense is that this pub is a good restaurant, very Farrow and Ball and stripped pine downstairs but no effort upstairs. Parking was limited to one tight space because there is building work and a temporary kitchen, which has used up the remainder. This is our second time here, the last time was before Covid. This time we were here to visit Sezincote (wow) Food in the evening has been consistently good but breakfast a definite deterioration.
