"Very friendly hotel in a great location, easily accessible to the city centre"

"Fridge wasn't actually cold, jammed outer window that wouldn't close so there was consistent traffic noise from being next to major road. The fan/heater unit system is ancient, full of lint / dust and very ineffective -- particularly the heater setting (not very warm and would turn off after a couple of minutes). General cleanliness not great -- hairs etc in the bathroom, dirty carpet. There was also the most annoying buzz coming from various electronics in the room and the plug system to turn off wasn't accessible. No view, literally just multiple major roads. Bedding average, mattress not comfortable (hard). TV had option to connect own device, however this did not work no matter what I did. Extractor fan in the bathroom very weak and ineffective, annoying as the only available mirror with ample light is in the bathroom -- there is a long mirror in the bedroom but too dark to use. Small, rough and thin towels -- many of which were stained."

"Lovely old pub with a real fire. This put a smile on my face as soon as I walked in. Friendly staff, good drinks options, nice food - breakfast was excellent. The room was a good size, clean and decorated well, giving it a nice character. I went for a quick run before dinner and dropped down into Pensford. This has a lovely old church and striking viaduct. Just what I needed before settling in front of the fire with a well earned pint. This is a quaint and delightful pub with lots of character. I will definitely be staying again when I'm next down this way."
