Des Plaines Bungalow

Fantastic Location - Near everything. Clean, Easy check-in. Beds comfortable. If you like watching TV this is your place. Wi-fi worked great.Awkward configuration 3rd bedroom -have to go through the other bedroom to access 2nd full bath is in the unfinished basementUnderfurnished (no dining room table/chairs and few dishes) Nespresso only coffee option - we bought a coffee potNo dressers for clothes

Big Family, Big House

We enjoyed staying at this Des Plaines property. It is well-located for accessing Chicago and other suburbs. It had the furniture and storage we needed for a large family to stay and ample room for kids to play. There is also a playground a couple blocks west. Kitchen utensils were a little light for doing any serious cooking, and we had to call the management upon arrival to get the door code updated. Other than that, we had a great week at the property.

Great Getaway

I booked this home for a girls weekend trip. The home was clean and spacious enough for six ladies. On check-in, the door code was not correct, but that was quickly addressed and fixed. On the second day, I called the contact person inquiring about parking and there was no response until the day after. Other than this, we had a very good experience.

Nice & clean property but

I really like the space and clean property. However I didnt like the fact that it didnt have towels, no paper towels in kitchen. Just a expresso machine instead of coffe maker. We didnt have anything to clean kitchen with

My review

I selected this property primarily because of its location. Three negatives to note: (1) Arriving to find only the ends of toilet paper rolls in both bathrooms was disconcerting and not welcoming. (2) The bedroom curtains were not sized correctly for privacy or light blockage. (3) I could definitely have done without the extended scary police activity next door on the third morning.

trip to chicago

Big house, and clean, but the fridge didn't work everything had to be stored in the freezer, my 10 y/o son wanted to have a glass of milk but it was frozen. there were 5 forks, 5 spoons, 3 bowls, 5 mugs, which isnt enough for larger families. Needs more amenities, and the towels were wet and dirty I personally think a higher attention to detail would vastly increase success

Not good on arrival

We arrived 2 hours after check in and it was 80 - house had a smart thermostat which we set to 79 upon arrival 3 hours later house was still 78 degrees with still no response from management company- no owner- refrigerator was not cold we thought they just turned it on but after 2 hours our ice cream was soup in the freezer and we had no where to put our food or husband’s medication- still waiting to hear if I’ll get my refund- we left for a hotel. This was a 2- night stay for 800$ total- 1/2 was in fees- so hoping if management company give refund because they say unit is working- just not cooling the house- vrbo will compensate for the unacceptable condition temperature during Chicago heat wave
