My family and I opted to stay here after an unexpected decision with another property. I stayed here before about 6/7 years ago it was fresh, nice and clean. This time it was okay. Better than the previous property for sure. The bed wasn’t really comfortable. The breakfast was ok. I would stay here again if I needed to.

I had requested wakeup calls on each morning and never received them. The breakfast was generally missing a protein source each morning. Was loud for the most part.

Care about your safety? Maybe not for you then…
Remodeled, decent. But there are some oversights. Common public area trash cans weren’t emptied at all during my stay. They were overflowing and only got worse while I was there. Door didn’t latch/lock properly on its own without help, so came back to door accidentally left unsecured by housekeeping. Biggest concern were some safety issues that stood out right away. Smoke detector had been disconnected and removed from room. Exit signs were improperly replaced during remodel and not visible. Multiple doors to stairwells wedged in open position. Fire extinguishers missing. It’s all fun and games and “come on, it’s not that big a deal!” until there’s a fire, and then it is a big deal. Issues reported to Gurnee FD Fire Marshall’s office. Won’t be staying here again.
Missing smoke detector in room.
Exit signs to stairwells replaced with wrong type and not visible.

Stay was ok but we will try somewhere else next time. We didn’t sleep good on the beds, the clock was never changed to day light savings and the phone started ringing at 2am with a pre-recorded message.

Great place to say while visiting Great America.
This hotel is a great place to stay while visiting Great America. It is very clean, has a good breakfast and is close to the park. However during this stay we were approached by another guest, who said he was lonely and offered us beer. He seemed nice enough just a little strange.

Business and Pleasure
We stayed to attends meetings from our organization and pleasure during the night. Very safe and quiet hotel. Good breakfast, area always being cleaned after guests leave. Friendly workers there.
