Great house on the water

Truly Grand

Property met all expectations. Beautiful sunsets every night, comfortable house with screen porch deck and dock. Great layout, large bedrooms, comfy beds, amazing great room for collective time. Will be back.

Spring break getaway

This was a perfect getaway spot for spring break. Our dog loved being able to swim everyday and we were able to kayak thanks to the availability at the house. Beautiful views, especially sunsets.

Amazing Stay

We had such an amazing time during our Mother/Daughter weekend. This house was perfect for the 4 of us. We all had our own room and bathroom. We enjoyed every aspect of Grandview. The best part was watching an amazing sunset to then watching a 2 1/2 hour thunderstorm across the bay that eventually hit us. It was phenomenal! Thank you for opening your home up to us. We are already talking about going back next year and making this a tradition!

Lovely Home

The finest rental I've stayed at in Chincoteague over the course of seven years! Waking up to that Bay view was incredible – on a clear day we could see Virginia across the water. The property itself is beautiful and well cared for. Landscaping around the house is lovely and the dock was well maintained. One can easily drive, bike, even walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Sunsets from the dock were exceptional! Highly recommend!

Perfect Chincoteague location

We've been coming to Chincoteague for about 5 years — staying in all kinds or properties: B&Bs, hotels, rental homes. This may be our single favorite spot. The house is on the bay, facing west toward the mainland. The view from the great room / kitchen is unbeatable. This is a quiet part of the island. Nice walking and biking. A bit of the ride to stores / restaurants. This home has a great porch, very well-equipped kitchen, and really easy to access & easy to use kayaks. Well-maintained and immaculate. Small bonus for a rental home: The pillows on the beds are really nice quality.

Great Views and room for everyone

Beautiful home with plenty of room. Views of the Bay were wonderful. Dock was nice to park my pontoon on. I would advise to clean the ceiling fans and the HVAC cold air returns.

Overall good stay.

Overall we had a good stay. We vacationed at the property 3 years ago and could see a some wear in the home. Beds are very good and each bedroom is a private suite which is great for privacy. I do think the living room seating and pillows are not in such great condition and could use replacing. Mosquitoes this week were horrendous. Beach was great. If you are not buying the expensive linen/towels package just a heads up. You need sheets that will fit 17” deep queen mattresses (which was a problem for us.). Kitchen is extremely well stocked and the new living room blinds are perfect. Overall pretty good stay.

Fantastic House

This is a fabulous house with a gorgeous view. The house is big and spread out so everyone can have his/her own private area as well as large, airy, and luxurious communal spaces to hang out in together. Everything is clean and comfortable. There are two bedroom/bathroom suites on the first floor, which is perfect for those who cannot walk upstairs. The kitchen is modern, well-equipped, and part of the large common space on the first floor. The huge glass windows looking out on the bay give a stunning view, as do the deck and screened-in porch. It's a perfect place to relax and feel away from it all.

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The dock was perfect, views amazing, and house clean and cozy! The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies (pans, knives etc). I would absolutely recomend.

Beautiful view, comfortable, and spacious

This property was very comfortable for our family of 5 adults and 3 children. It was especially nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The furniture and beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the large dining room table & well equipped kitchen. Having a crock pot was very nice! The location is beautiful and we loved the access to the dock and the crab traps (we caught a bunch!). It's a nice flat bike ride into Chincoteague, and the road in front of the house is private and perfect for walking. The house is dog friendly which is great, but my only complaint is that the carpet shows lots of stains. The property management is so expedient to fix any issues! We had a leaky toilet that was fixed right away, and some raccoons tore out a screen by the back door and they fixed that the same day. I definitely would stay there again!

Camping friends vacation

We were 4 couples that camp together in PA. We loved that each BR was a suite. And that it was pet friendly. A rarity when looking for a place on the water. It suited our needs to a T. The men in the group loved the pier, and had fun catching small sharks and rays. We already booked this great house for next year before we left the beautiful island. Many sunsets were amazing. Many great memories to talk about back at camp.

It was an amazing vacation with all our children under one roof again. The sunsets were stunning.!

From beginning to end it was perfect. Every question immediately answered, no drama, no run around. The property was beautiful and the sunsets breathtaking. It truly was an amazing experience. Family Getaway

We were at Grandview for a family getaway, my kids decided it was their favorite home we have rented! The layout of the home is fabulous. Being able to seat everyone at meals and in family room (with COMFORTABLE furniture) makes all the difference! Your cleaning crew is outstanding, extremely clean! We were so happy at Grandview! Everyone also enjoyed having their own space with bedrooms/bathrooms. We cooked most of our meals, home is very well equipped, found everything we needed. The view is breathtaking! Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven on earth with us!

Out impresson was positive

That being said, the home would benefit significantly from being power washed and a little bit of paint. Supplying some low cost TVs in the bedrooms would have been nice and is in line with what we have experienced with other rentals. I would also advise elevating the TV in the den to ensure children would not hit their heads on its corner (admittedly we were fortunate). Finally for your winter guests, providing at least a small amount of firewood would represent a nice touch.

Gorgeous house and location.

Beautiful home, well maintained, with great dock. The house had everything ; screened in porch, baths with every bed room,well stocked kitchen and allowed our dog.
