「Fantastic hosts, were very accessible and helpful. Villa was perfect with a great pool set up and outdoor space. Watching the sunset from the first floor balcony was great. Would definitely return and recommend. Restaurants/ bar within walking distance or 2 minute drive away, Tarsanas beach was 4 minutes drive away and has a really nice safe sandy beach with a beach bar and taverna. 」

「Had a great time staying at this lovely hotel. All the staff (reception, restaurant staff and cleaners) were all extremely pleasant and friendly. There is a mini market by the pool which is very well stocked. A bus outside the hotel takes you all the way into the centre of Chania and runs frequently. 「We visited Balito with a family of 7 and had the most wonderful stay. The hotel is small but updated and it is run by a wonderful family who makes you feel at home. "The hotel had a 80s decor and vibe, but the not-so-modern outlook is totally, if not over compensated, by the impeccable service, cleanliness, view at the breakfast restaurant, quality of food, and the ample size of the swimming pools which provide more than enough room for everybody to enjoy. We have had an amazing time there! I paid extra for a side sea view room because the picture looks like a frontal sea view, but it wasn’t, and I probably would not have chosen the same room type next time. "
