  • Perched high above the charming village of Church Stretton in the Shropshire Hills National Landscape, this exquisitely renovated cottage offers unparalleled luxury against the spectacular backdrop of the Long Mynd. Impeccably designed with top-tier interiors and finishes, this sanctuary is an idyllic retreat for small families and couples seeking a serene escape. And whilst you can simply enjoy the tranquillity of your private haven, you also have the convenience of a bustling village nearby with an array of pubs, cafes, shops, butchers and a great delicatessen. Spend your days walking or cycling the dramatic, heather-covered rolling hills of the Long Mynd and keep your eye out for the wild ponies grazing or the abundance of wildlife that enriches the area. Adventurers can travel further into the Shropshire Hills with ease or day trip to the wonderful market towns of Shrewsbury (13 miles), Ludlow (19 miles) and Bridgnorth (20 miles) each with their own unique history and charm.


    Stepping into the property, feel the instant warmth and character of this traditional country cottage, tastefully decorated in neutral colours with exposed wooden beams and a classic oak staircase. The spacious entrance hall, complete with ample storage for coats and muddy boots, sets the stage for a seamless transition into the stunning open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area – the true heart of the home. A high vaulted ceiling with large window and expansive bi-fold doors has been designed to maximise the mesmerising view across the Long Mynd and beyond, inviting the outside in and connecting you with the natural world surrounding you. In cooler months, stock the wood burner from the outside log store and settle in for the evening, cuddled on the two inviting sofas, playing a board game around the coffee table or catching up on your favourite series on the Smart TV. As you move around the open-plan layout, you’ll find the farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook delicious homemade meals with locally sourced produce bought earlier on in the day. The high-quality Nespresso bean coffee machine and wine cooler are the perfect accompaniments, offering everyone their drink of choice. For remote workers, a stylish bureau tucked in the corner of the room offers a compact workspace with spectacular rural views, making it an ideal spot to work while on holiday if necessary. At the top of the oak staircase, you'll find the master super-king suite and a separate bathroom featuring a bath, cubicle shower, and WC. Slide open the bi-fold doors and serve dinner alfresco on the paved patio, marvelling at the silhouettes of the mountains ahead. Jinlye Meadow sits in front of the property – land owned by the National Trust which is now being used for restoration to increase biodiversity and wildlife. The landscapes here change depending on the season from grazing sheep to blooming wildflowers. The lush lawn adjacent to the paved patio is ideal for adults to unwind under the summer sun or children to frolic in the fresh, countryside air.
