"I booked a larger double room at this hotel to meet my needs and included special requirements (reasonable adjustments) due to a neurodivergent disability. These were acknowledged in a direct message after booking, giving me confidence my needs would be understood and accommodated. On arrival and check-in, I confirmed my sensitivity to noise. The receptionist assured me I had been placed in a suitable room on a quieter side, but also stated that if I wanted a better room I would need to pay extra to upgrade, despite already booking a double room. When I entered the room, it was immediately clear it did not match what had been advertised. It was not of a double standard and looked nothing like the advertised photos. The room was small, with a basic shower and bed. More concerning was the condition of the room. An old wooden window was already open and could not be properly closed, allowing constant traffic noise bellowing into the room. Given my stated sensory sensitivity, this made the room unsuitable. I took my bags and returned straight to reception and explained the room did not meet my booking or reasonable adjustments. I reiterated that I have a sensory disability and required a quieter environment. The staff member contacted someone elseand I was moved to a quieter interior room. This should not have occurred. My needs were clearly stated and acknowledged but not considered when allocating the room. Staff should be better trained to understand non visible disabilities."

"Staff members incredibly friendly and helpful. Lovely and welcoming foyer. Few stains in the room but it was a large room and everything you need for a one night stay. Fridge with water and robes plus extra towels in the cupboards were nice to have. "

"Only stayed one night for bed and breakfast for a night at thr theatre. Great room, comfortable bed and big bathroom. Staff were great. Breakfast was good and even did vegan sausages on request. Will be staying again in September for another night at the theatre."

"Lovely location but we both slept really badly as the walls are very thin and not soundproof in the least!! The person in the room next door was talking (maybe gaming) loudly all night, until some time after 5.30am, making it impossible to sleep. Otherwise hotel was friendly and a ve try pleasant experience."

"Very convenient location for exploring Plymouth. Drakes Circus, the Barbican and Hoe are all within a 5-10 min walk and there are many places to eat within a few minutes walk. The room itself was equipped well enough. We found the kitchen very convenient. The bed and pillows were slightly uncomfortable but were fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however a number of small inconvenient things really impacted our stay. -The storage cupboards alongside the bed were completely unusable as the bed blocked the ability to open the doors. If we were to push the bed far enough to open the doors, then only one side of the bed would be useable. This meant we had to leave our suitcases open on the floor for the duration of our stay as there was no bench or luggage stand to place them on. -The couch was comfortable enough but far too small for two people to sit comfortably and was very small for the scale of the room. -The small dining table was the only place to put down small belongings and to hang coats so it left the table mostly unusable. A wall mounted coat rack would be a beneficial add to this room -The only place to blow dry hair was under the TV. The only mirror in the suite was a foot too far away from the outlet and I had to use the reflection in the TV to dry my hair. -The light in the hall entrance is motion activated and there was no off switch that we could locate. This meant that if you went to the washroom in the middle of the night, the whole room lit up and woke"

"Fun location in the heart of the Barbican. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Three large double bedrooms. Loved the spacious top floor with terrace"

"Apartment was well equipped and wonderfully decorated. Location was right in the heart of the historic Barbican. We stayed over the bank holiday weekend and all the pubs and restaurants right outside were having parties. Got abit loud for us but if you want to be close to live music this is the place."
