“Wingrove House is a welcoming small hotel in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way. It has been sympathetically restored to make it a comfortable, modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spotless. There is a comfortable lounge and I enjoyed sitting there with a book in the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and the restaurante service was great.”

“We had a great stay. The family room was excellent and our kids loved the heated outdoor pool which we used when in February! The staff were lovely and we appreciated the little touches like snacks to take on our walks and home baked cookies. We will definitely be back. ”

“We stayed there for 5 nights with our 2 teen girls joining over the weekend. Everything was really good: the hospitality, the room and bedding, breakfast, local restaurant guide and even the flush at the toilet. Parking was an issue after 8pm as usually all the closest parking lots would be full.”

“We arrived to a friendly greeting and given our key to room 17 on the first floor, the room was large and lovely and warm with a huge bed plus really clean. The hotel is very interesting with lots of different sitting rooms and a bar all filled with original Victorian features plus old cameras and typewriters were amongst the artefacts to look at. All the staff were really friendly and the chap on reception we spoke to on checking out told us all about the history of the hotel and even took time……
