Saltburn-by-the-Sea Land of Iron Hotels

"Lovely cottage with good facilities. We stayed for 4 nights in this small but well equipped cottage. Plus side, the bedrooms were furnished to a high standard same with the bathroom and kitchen. The main living area was very comfortable with a real fire that was great for the evenings . A couple of minor points were that there wasn’t anywhere to hang you coats and the main table that was folded couldn’t be used as some of the feet were missing. So board games were played on the floor. But didn’t spoil the fun.. location is excellent for all the main visiting sites.. Parking is hit and miss and if you have large car the lane is very narrow for parking.. A few nights we had to park a short distance away in another street. Overall though we enjoyed our stay"

"Lovely, cosy , well decorated cottage.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, along with our 3 kids and two dogs. The cottage had everything we needed and was located close to lots of lovely beaches/pubs etc. The only slight issue was the shower not being very powerful ( a family full of thick curly haired people, it did take along time to wash hair) but everything else was perfect and the hosts were on hand for any queries.Would highly recommend and the kids already want to go back !"

"The Forge was very nice and clean but needed the finishing touches egbathroom no where to put tooth brush soap shower gel in shower shampoo etc nowhere to hang anything wardrobes we're far to high to hang anything .Wet boots and coats nowhere to put when coming in wet"

"A really lovely comfortable cottage, well equipped and with plenty of space for two people. Neighbours were friendly and very helpful. The village has few amenities although it is only a short drive to local shops and restaurants. The area is outstandingly beautiful and dramatic even on wet dull days, and stunning in the sunshine."

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS Overall a really horrible stay. From dirty linen to really poor communication it was not a great stay. I definitely do NOT recommend. Holes on the wall, damaged furniture, a dirty sock on the floor, beds not made, smoking alarm coming off the ceiling, dirty linen, no toilet paper… Contact with the host as also been appalling. Been trying to resolve this situation and still waiting on a solution so AVOID! "
