「The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!」

「My daughter and I just stayed one night for a dance competition so it served its purpose. The area was a little creepy to check in after dark. If this location is necessary in the future, we will definitely check in during the daylight hours. Parking was convenient to the room. The cleanliness of the room could have been better. It was obvious that the sink and kitchenette area had not been cleaned or even wiped down (hair, crumbs, etc). Luckily, we did not need those amenities.」

「The staff at the reception were courteous and helpful. I used the stationary bicycle in the gym. Didn't have time to use the indoor pool but it looked clean. I didn't like the smell of the room. It took a bit of work to program TV so I could watch. Convenient location. Reasonable price.」

「Then whole floor smelled weed. This is a large hotel, and this is not the first time I stay here. But I notice the people that tend to stay here are more and more sketchy. The whole floor smelled to marihuana. Sad.」

「Staff did not clean room or provide towels the second day of a 3 day stay. Lower area not to my standards for a Best Western but I don't know anything about tower rooms. Parking is minimal and difficult to acquire if late returning. Breakfast was definitely of low standards with minimal selections. No breakfast available last morning at 0800 on April 20,2026, no coffee, nothing.」
