“Amazing place to stay. Excellent location, beautiful rooms and accommodation and the host was so responsive. We will definitely be back!”

“Loved my stay here! The attention to details is appreciated. The shower is amazing! Loved the main area for all to gather. Walking distance to The Iron Whisk and Fuzzy’s Bar is great. I didn’t love that it’s close to train tracks and that you can’t adjust your own thermostat.”

“We throughly enjoyed the accommodations and plan I. Returning! Checking in was easy, and they worked with us on an earlier check in. Checking out process was very smooth and easy. We can’t wait to book our next trip.”

“Everything was clean and new! We used the hot tub every night and appreciated the coffee machine! Really classy place! Access to attractions was key, and we enjoyed the neighboring restaurant (only open Thurs-Sunday) but we were less than 10 minutes from Anna for dining, and there was a great Tavern and gas station, and Dollar General less than a 1/4 block away. Highly recommended.”

“Makanda inn is a very well maintained place. The room was very comfortable, and the staff was excellent. The breakfasts were delicious.”

“Beautiful quaint cabin! Had everything you could need. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.”

“It was perfect for what we had planned. Definitely will be back. Thank you for supplying so much. The only thing we didn’t have was aluminum foil, but you had some really cool bowls that I fix some mushrooms and onions and a baked potato to go with our steaks. We had everything else and if we didn’t, you had everything else there beautiful place thank you CJ”

“Another wonderful stay at this cabin. Quick responses from host, clean place with all the amenities you’d need. Air conditioning worked great. Great location for hiking or exploring the wine trail. Hidden, yet super easy access to highway.”

“Kayla provided us a cozy, clean, and recently updated home to stay in for our week long vacation! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and appliances, air conditioning was adequate during the heat wave, and the washer and dryer came in handy for our swimming and hiking days! The few repairs that needed to be done were made quickly and professionally as soon as I let her know of them. I would recommend this Vrbo again!”

“High quality room, with farm privacy and atmosphere. We would recommend it and stay there again. Only one thing: The ladder to the loft bedroom is quite steep. My wife struggled a bit with it. But then, she is in her late 60's. Nevertheless, a good place that we will recommend. A/C worked well, and was needed. Room very clean. We hardly saw staff, which was fine, as we enjoyed our privacy.”

“Cool renovated property that keeps that old fashioned charm. Spacious living with all the amenities you need for a vacation stay.”

“Our family loved our stay at Pa’s house! First time pulling into the Pa’s house property we knew it would be a great stay. The location worked perfect for our hiking adventures, most places were only a 20 min drive away. Several wineries were right down the road. You’re outside of town but can make a quick grocery run if needed. The work done inside and out of this old farm home was wonderfully done. We stayed there with 2 adults and 3 kids and there was everything you need for a weekend trip of……

“We came to visit our son at SIU and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was nice, clean, and very affordable. The breakfast was great, with lots of options. There's a bar right next to the hotel, which was nice, and a couple of restaurants nearby. The area felt safe and had a good amount of activity. Overall, a really good place to stay when visiting SIU!”

“Very clean. Helpful staff. Great hot breakfast. Definitely staying there again if I am in Carbondale.”

“It was a very clean and a wonderful place to stay! We didn't have any pets although it was pet friendly you never would have known any pets had ever been there. Wish we could have stayed longer!! The host was wonderful to work with!”

“It was just fine”
