Girls Trip
After not seeing some of these ladies, for over 30 years, fancy pants was the perfect place to get together for some relaxation and fun. There was plenty of room for all of us. There was also several sitting areas to choose from. We were able to go on hikes around the house and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The kitchen is very well stocked so we were able to cook meals and eat in, and also found restaurants not too far away to eat out. This house definitely has lots of fun character.

Excellent getaway
We all loved the stay there versus staying at a local hotel. This was my first experience at a VRBO and we would do it again. Well decorated house and comfortable beds and furniture. Loved the outdoor patio in the evenings. Definitely recommend.

Delightful in the mountains
Our family enjoyed our stay in Woodland Park at Fancy Pants Manor. Nancy was very helpful and communicated well with us. We were all adults, a party of 7, and had lots of space to spread out. The deck was perfect for enjoying the beautiful sunsets, and coffee in the morning.

We had a great time in this huge mountain house. Well equipped with everything. Owner lives nextdoor so very available. We would have appreciated some more written instructions on how things worked, what was required from us on check out, etc.

Fancy Pants is a winner!
We had a family get together with 10 adults, and there was plenty of space for everyone with room to spare. The location was perfect, out in the country but within 15 minutes of stores and restaurants in Woodland Park. All the activities in the Colorado Springs area was only half an hour away. The hosts live on the property and were very helpful. If you need a place for a large group, don't hesitate, this place is great!

Best cabin ever!!!
As everyone stated this cabin not only offers the best panoramic view of the Pikes Peak but also has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The property is huge with ample space, cozy rooms, library, 360 degree tower room view of the mountains, heated mattress, big patios, grill, decks and much more. But what makes the difference is the hostility and kind behavior of the owner- Nancy! She is just amazing in addressing all our questions and concerns. Our cars got stuck in the middle of a sudden snow storm and they helped us to get to the cabin safely. Offered us multiple rides back and forth to get our stuff from our cars. Can’t thank them enough for the help they offered us at night we reached Colorado. I would also mention about other neighbors who offered help as well. If you have a large family and want a cabin in Colorado Springs/ Woodland Park, CO, then look no further. This is the cabin you want to be in!

This place was amazing, 360 views from the tower, perfect for families with kids or the kid in all of us. Nice quiet location with all the amenities needed for a great vacation. We truly enjoyed our stay at fancy pants manor!

WONDERFUL!
House is amazing, the owners were awesome, and we highly recommend! It’s outside of Colorado Springs but super easy to get to all of the attractions, and the mountain setting is amazing! We were just four adults, but can see where a larger family would have a wonderful time, with cool bedrooms for all! I made it a point to read my book in ALL of the cozy sitting areas. Wonderful to come home to after a full day of exploring the area! Can’t say enough about this property! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Fancy Pants Manor- AMAZING EXPERIENCE
I highly recommend Fancy Pants Manor and owner Nancy Medlock when considering your next vacation to the Colorado Springs area. The home is in Woodland Park, only a short 30 minutes from Colorado Springs, AND WORTH THE DISTANCE/DRIVE! We had a large family vacation, with 4 families getting together for a 6-day trip. The home is HUGE, comfortable, and provided us everything we needed to have a successful vacation. A large kitchen, with all cooking supplies to save money and eat at home. The bedrooms were large, comfortable, and most had connected bathrooms. The view is INCREDIBLE! You step out the door and are immediately hypnotized by the beauty of Pikes Peak, staring directly at you. Large patios gave you the space, peace, and quiet to really take in the beauty that the property provided on all sides. The home has several living areas, comfy couches, clean, and spacious. The owner, Ms. Nancy Medlock was incredible to work with. Her communication was prompt, friendly, and accommodating. I plan on returning to Fancy Pants Manor next summer, and that's saying a lot, as I travel often, and I'm very critical of the places I stay and spend my money and time on. This vacation was exceptional, and it really started and ended with this home.

Gorgeous Property, Great Views
We loved our time there. House was charming. Plenty of movies in their library if wanted. Fishing was fantastic at North Catamount Reservoir(trailhead was 7 minutes from the front door.) The 1 day we fished, each of us caught 15-20 trout a piece on white Rooster Tails, Mepps, Panther Martins, gold spoons, and the Flies recommended by the South Platte Fly shop in Woodland Park. We loved seeing the mule deer around the house each morning and evening. Turkeys were in the area too calling each other! We also saw 3 Elk!! A trip to Buena Vista was BEAUTIFUL! Garden of the God's, Glen Erie Castle, and Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs were all winners. So much to do, so little time. Be aware of the altitude. A couple of us felt off during the week. We drank extra water. Though for some, I think the altitude brought on decreased appetite and periodic headaches. Great stay and relatively secluded location. A definite winner!

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE WITH BREATHTAKING VIEWS!
This property absolutely exceeded our expectations. The owner was very responsive and the house is decorated beautifully and is so warm and inviting. We had more than enough room for the whole family. The beauty of the snow covered mountains was unbelievable! We loved the mule deer family that came to the front porch to visit every day. I would definitely stay here again.

Great gathering place!
The home is beautiful with multiple open spaces that facilitated our gathering of people coming from various places. Kitchen is very well stocked so it made it easy to cook everything on site. Location is cozy in the mountains but close for easy access to Woodland Park. Our group hopes to return in the future!

Fantastic property, fantastic host
Nancy's property was perfect for our large group - plenty of space for everyone. The location was gorgeous although I recommend having AWD or 4WD if visiting in the winter. You could see Pike's Peak out the front and more mountains in the back. The property is on a large piece of land and it was very peaceful. The county/city did keep the roads plowed and well-maintained, which was much appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked most dinners at home while there. The bathrooms were clean and also well-stocked with towels, toilet paper, soap, and shampoo. Nancy herself was a great host - very responsive and even gave us inside tips on events going on while we were there. I couldn't recommend her place more and we're hoping to be able to visit again during a different season!

Peaceful getaway
It was amazing with a beautiful view. The host was wonderful as we arrived in town early and they let us check in early because the cleaners were able to finish early. It is hard enough on adults being in a car for 10 plus hours but for toddlers it is even harder. The house was set up with baby gates that allowed the littles to have plenty of space to roam once we arrived without concerns of the stairs. There was a newspaper article posted that gave some insight about the family that grew up there which I feel gave the house a special touch. If you are looking for somewhere to stay to make memories as a family we would highly recommend staying here.

Rustic Lodge Homey Getaway
Warm, Cute, Rustic, County Home. Very spacious and welcoming. Every room has so much character. Very clean and the decor is lovely. It looks like they do little upgrades as needed. And hopefully all guests leave there without it needing more. It is so charming. Mostly it fit our huge family perfectly. With lots of places to sit back and unwind. It’s 6 miles from town and snuggled up a mountain. Breathtaking views and lots of windows and deck space to enjoy it. There’s no rushing when on “mountain time”, so plan ahead for travel time, and go slow as the roads are very winding. What looks like a 6 mile trip takes much longer than expected. So slow down and enjoy the scenery. We did, and we don’t regret it.

Woodland Park Stay
The property is beautiful! Views from the house and deck are really nice, and walking down the road provides some good exercise and additional views of Pike's Peak and the surrounding mountains. Our host was very quick to respond to our questions, which we appreciated very much. I would say there are some areas that need some attention, such as some nails on the deck that need to be pounded back in. Overall, though, our family was very happy with our stay, and the home provided a great place to reconnect & enjoy the area.

You will not regret booking this property! Everything about it was amazing, so when I say that 5 stars isn’t enough - I mean it! Nancy was a wonderful communicator. The pictures don’t do the house and the location justice! The kitchen is better stocked than my own kitchen! Thank you for such a wonderful stay - our group had a wonderful time!

Hey there fancypants
We had the best time and the house was really perfect for our group! We cooked, played games, went on hikes and did some shopping in Manitou. The house is great for gathering, and the views are beautiful! It snowed a little one day and there was some snow upon our arrival, Nancy had sleds for us to use and we had so much fun! I recommend Fancypants manor, and would definitely stay again! Nancy was great and responsive to any questions or requests. Thanks Nancy from all of us :)

Amazing!!
The property is exactly as described- wonderful! You have beautiful views, it's away from the city so it's very quiet and peaceful. They received a heavy snowfall the night prior to our arrival and Nancy called to check on us to make sure we arrived safely and prepared for the weather. They snow blowed the parking and entrance so we would have no issue getting in. I would highly recommend this property, especially for family/friend vacation. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space as well as room for everyone to gather if they choose. We will be returning as soon as we can!

Beautiful House!
We had a group of 9 staying and there was plenty of room for us all. The house is so beautiful and kept very clean. Nancy and her husband are so wonderful and so quick to respond to any questions or needs. The house is secluded out in nature enough and has spectacular views but also close enough to town that you can make a trip for anything you may have need of very easily. We loved walking out every morning and seeing the deer right outside our front door! The kitchen is fully stocked and the fridge is very spacious, we were able to shop and have plenty of room for all of the food for our 4 day stay. You will really love staying in this beautiful place! I highly recommend it! We will be back!

it needed to be maintained, missing cabinet doors, unfinished building in rooms, missing doors in bedrooms, non working oven, garbage disposable, deck with loose boards, slanting toilets, railings lose, non- working fireplaces, it was a nice place at one time, looks old and run down now. owner very nice I think jut overwhelmed with properly upkeep

The Taj Mahal would not have pleased Linda. Upon arrival Linda and her adult children raved about the home. Unfortunately the evening of arrival the oven broke, but before that happened she and her family loved the home. I immediately purchased another oven yet it wasn’t enough for her, she nit picked the entire place after that it went downhill. We did everything but stand on our heads to please her to no avail. I Was pleasant in giving her 5 stars but the truth of her behavior couldn’t go without commenting on due to her unreasonable demands. We apologized profusely and responded immediately but nothing pleased her. She someone you just can’t please.

Excellent location for our family getaway!
The location of this house was absolutely perfect for us. Daytrips to Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Mueller State Park, and in to Woodland Park for restaurants and groceries as needed were all very convenient. The solitude of the woods and the views from this elevation were exactly what we were hoping for. House is very spacious, elegant, and clean. There were 6 of us and we could have easily had another 6 fit comfortably in the house. We highly recommend this house for your next family getaway!

Had an awesome time staying in this house. Very spacious and clean. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone! Enjoyed the wildlife and sitting on the deck. Owner was very helpful, even to the point of rescuing us when our car broke down.

Staying at The Fancypants Manor was a joy. The house is very large and can accommodate large groups. The owners are very helpful and they had muffins, pastries and a lovely assortment of cheese waiting for us upon our arrival. The property is one of a kind and is very beautiful! It is located close to town so restaurants and shopping are not far. The elevation where the home is located is 9500 feet, it is very quiet and the views are amazing. The property owners live next door and the are very responsive. This was a wonderful getaway for us and we will be coming back!!

Beautiful property and gigantic house!
There were 8 of us that stayed in Fancy Pants Manor. So many sleeping options. Each bedroom felt like it's own little suite. So cozy, very unique house. The top of the tower was locked so we couldn't go out on that deck. It was still fun to walk up the winding staircase. A few items around the kitchen were in need of repair (a few missing cabinet doors, tiles) However, the kitchen had everything you would need to cook all of your meals. There was a nice welcoming note and snacks set out for our arrival. T.V.'s in each room. The views were absolutely stunning! Nancy and her family live right next door and she was very attentive. Great place and highly recommended!

A Wonderful Hidden Gem
Fancy Pants is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. From the very moment we walked into the house, we had a series of pleasant surprises. A generous display of delicious cheeses and crackers, fresh donuts and fresh fruit was awaiting us in the kitchen, the first room inside the entrance. My 3 grandkids were thrilled to explore the house and its unusual layout. While we didn't need it, there are two wings, making the house perfect for 2 families to share. It is an old house, filled with charming decorative touches and antiques. Enormous refrigerator in the kitchen, with a large separate freezer in the pantry. The view of Pike's Peak from the front porch is stunning. Add to this the graciousness of the hosts, and their incredible story of raising 5 foster children in the house - you get a beautiful place at a good price, plus having the added benefit of supporting two wonderful people. Do not go expecting modern perfection, but definitely choose this home if you want comfort, relaxation, incredible views and a feeling of love and warmth.
