A GEM in Conca De Marini

We had a very enjoyable stay here. Our host, Raphael was exceptionally hospitable from the onset. He exceeded our expectations in communicating directions and ensuring our arrival was seamless. He also went beyond by driving to locations and picking us ip again. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Great Views of Amalfi and the Coast

Please only stay here if you want to truly enjoy Amalfi and the beautiful views. The place is stunning and a quick 5-7 minute bus ride from Amalfi main area. The place is super clean, great balcony and fully equipped with everything. There is a beautiful restaurant and small grocery store within walking distance. Avoid the tourist trap restaurants and enjoy great food and prices here. The host is simply wonderful and ALWAYS available for any questions or help. He was able to provide us with rides, suggestions on what to do, helped getting ferry and bus tickets, and took us to some amazing view points that we would never have known about.

Great view and amazing host!

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It felt like a home away from home. Raffaele is a great host and was super kind to show us around the place in the first day and also took us to get some groceries with his car before the supermarket closed as we arrived later than planned. We had a great time and will probably be coming back again.

A Wonderful Experience

We had an amazing time staying at this location. The views from the stay were magnificent and surreal. The host Raffaele was superior to which he aided as an excellent tour guide informing us of the best places to eat and activities to enjoy during our stay. In our case he also helped my boyfriend plan a surprise proposal in a beautiful location. We are now engaged and will never forget the memory here. We 100% recommend this stay as its not just a location to stay while you visit Amalfi, but an unforgettable experience that you will never forget.

A Beautiful Place of Relaxation

Raphael and Erminia where fabulous hosts! They were always available to help with travel ideas. Raphael met us when we arrived and took us around the area to get our bearings. The apartment was great. Exactly as described. We would absolutely recommend you stay at their place.

We loved our stay

The property is unique, like the Amalfi Coast. The host couldn’t be better. Rafaele took time at our arrival to ensure we found the place and went above and beyond to even drive us around to see the local market and restaurants - TRUST ME THIS IS IMPORTANT. There are 3 amazing restaurants within less than 10 minute walk. Rafaele also made some suggestions of the best places to visit and how best to get there. The place is also very clean and very well kept. If steps are an issue you might consider another option but keep in mind, Amalfi is pretty much all windy hills and steps so it comes with the territory. I don’t see how you could be disappointed with choosing Rafaele’s place to stay unless you are expecting to be right in the middle of one of the tourist hustle bustle cities. Thanks Rafaele for an amazing stay!

Great Property in Quiet Town

My wife and I just finished a fabulous 5 day visit in this location. First of all, the Amalfi Coast is stunning, justifying its place on our bucket list. And Conca dei Marini is a great little village to use as home base, as you can leave the crowds behind after your busy days. Finally, this apartment was very nice, and our host Raphael extremely helpful both before and during our visit. My only suggestion would be to make sure you have a good transportation plan in place. We rented a car, as there is a garage included with the property, but quickly found driving on the coast to be quite a challenge. Having a driver available would be preferable. But I highly recommend this property and a visit to the Coast.

Amazing Stay

Raffaele was an amazing host. He was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. He was most helpful in explaining how to navigate the area offering various suggestions. The views of the coast and sea from the large,nicely furnished terrace were breathtaking. Conca de Marini itself is a lovely location, quiet and away from the crowds in nearby Amalfi,major hub for various bus and ferry services (served from Conca by local bus - Sitabus service 5080). Restaurants and well stocked mini market are accessible within 15 minutes.walk from the apartment. The spacious apartment was very clean and nicely furnished with all amenities. My host Raffaele is a real gentleman, super helpful with all his tips and very accommodating. Communication was very prompt on phone /whatsapp.

Extraordinary stay

My partner and I really loved our stay. It was a lovely place and Raffaele and Erminia were perfect hosts. So kind, available and genereous. They showed us around Conca dei Marini, gave us plenty of information to facilitate our travel around Amalfi Coast, and they even drove us in the morning 3 times to Amalfi, when we had booked boats or other things planned. I can say easily this was one of our best stay ever. The apartment is really comfy, the terrace is amazing with view to the sea and the Amalfi Coast, it has everything you need to cook and a washing machine. Conca dei Marini is a nice quiet town, with 2 nice restaurants near the apartment (you can go by walk) and down the coast please visit Capo di Conca (the best beach we went in the Amalfi Coast). Our amazing say wasn't be possible without Raphaël, he waits for us in the bus station in Amalfi, then take the time to explain to us everything in the quick trip to Conca, he was really nice and always answer our question during the stay. Definitely, you should rent this apartment.

Dream Vacation

Raffaele is a superb and attentive host. His communication and response was outstanding from the moment we arrived. He met us at the Amalfi bus station then provided a short tour of the area on the way to the apartment. Raffaele went the extra mile to be sure we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. The apartment is spotless, pleasant, updated, well equipped and comfortable. It has a spectacular view and there are a couple of local stores and eateries. It is a very convenient location to easily access public transportation and tour the entire area and beyond. We easily made our way to shop + dine in Amalfi, visit Minori, Isle of Capri, Positano + the Pompeii ruins.

Conclusion to our Italy vacation

My fiancé and I stayed here after taking a cruise that landed us in Rome. Raffaele and Erminia we extremely helpful in helping us understand our transportation options in getting from Rome to their apartment, as well as helping us get back to Rome for our flight. They even arranged the car transfer for us to and from the train station. Anything we needed, mostly directions to various parts of the coast, restaurant recommendations and transportation instructions, they were always there to assist. Location was perfectly situated between Amalfi and Positano and walking distance to several restaurants in Conca dei Marini. We left a few items of clothing by accident, which they have graciously agreed to send back to us. They were great hosts! We would definitely stay here again!

7-star stay with amazing hosts and a terrific location!!

Raffaele and Erminia are the most gracious and accommodating hosts I have met in my 15+ year homestays. I would give them a 7-star rating in every aspect if that was a possibility. Their home anticipates and takes into account every need of the guest and it is extremely well organized, clean, and has an amazing location. The bus stop for going to Amalfi and other places on the coast is right below the home which makes it super convenient if you want to skip driving any day. There is a car park/garage which is only 30-40 meters from the home and large enough to accommodate even a full-sized car (which I was driving). The balcony has amazing views of the entire coast stretching all the way to Salerno and we got to see beautiful sunrise from the balcony. What I loved most was the perfect mattress in the bedroom - after being on the road for almost 3 weeks we finally found a mattress at this home that was perfect for our needs. We also had some special dietary needs and Erminia went out of her way to make sure all our needs were taken care of. If you are looking for a perfect place in Amalfi for a couple then look no further. This one is a gem in every aspect! I canno

Fabulous apartment, stunning views and great hospitality!

Ok, so firstly let me say that this apartment looks great on the listing, but the reality is so much better than pictures can convey! The apartment sits on the hillside away from the road and there's a secure garage which is a big benefit. We found the accommodation clean, spacious and well appointed. Satellite TV and wifi were a welcome addition, if only to fill the time waiting for my wife to get ready to go for dinner! The terrace is a lovely suntrap and a great place for sunbathing or eating. From here you get views over Amalfi, Salerno, the surrounding mountains and coast that are simply breathtaking. It's worth getting up early just to see the sunrise over the mountains! Even though our arrival was quite late in the evening, we were met and welcomed to the apartment. The owner, Raffaele is an excellent host and ambassador for the local area, going out of his way to ensure that we really got the most our of our holiday, introducing us to a number of local facilities, hotels (with pools), restaurants, shops etc that we may not have otherwise found. We would definitely recommend this place!

What a magical immersion into local Italian culture

We were looking for a relaxing base camp to explore the Amalfi coast. Your reward for lots of stairs will be unrivaled views, the simplicity of life in Conca dei Marini and the authenticity of the local culture. The apartment was immaculately clean and exactly as advertised. One of the main reasons we chose the location was because of the ratings of the host, Raffaele- he did not disappoint. He goes well above expectations - picked us up from the ferry, introduced us to shop and restaurant owners, and escorted us on a quick tour of the area. Our best VRBO experience to date. (cooking class at La Bonta del Capo the local restaurant is a must). Driving is an adventure on the Amalfi coast so we opted to use the bus and ferries. It worked fine- a bit more involved from Conca dei Marini but you have the benefit of not being in all the hoards of tourists. This, for us, was the perfect holiday. Immersion in local culture and food, and relaxing in a beautiful setting away from the hustle of tourism. We are pleased to have made new friends and will definitely be returning.

Perfect in Conca dei Marini

Over the years we have stayed at many VRBOs. And generally those have been good experiences. This VRBO in Conca dei Marini was great. And a huge factor in that was the host, Erminia. We do not speak Italian. We did not have a car. We had not been to the Amalfi coast before. No matter -- Erminia had our backs; everything from driving us to get groceries, to explaining how the local transit works, to providing information and recommendations regarding local restaurants. We can't thank her enough. The apartment is up 64 stairs from the street -- not too bad given that this is the Amalfi coast. Spacious and immaculately clean, the unit works for a couple. The kitchen has the essentials for making breakfast and a light lunch. The mattress in the bedroom is excellent. The patio/veranda is spacious and has a fantastic view of the Amalfi seacoast. One additional thought... Conca dei Marini, like many of the towns on the Amalfi coast is near vertical. If you do not have a car (and the courage to drive it) you might have some transportation challenges. The public bus system (SITA) goes horizonal in this vertical town, i.e. it will take you to Amalfi, but not around Conca dei Marini. So be prepared to explore this neughbourhood on foot -- bearing in mind, as you navigate the maze of stairways, that what goes down must go back up.
