"It's a 100 year old restoration, as close as they can come to actual, with updates (in-room fridge & microwave. Some room are classic bathroom/shower-down-the-hall, others have bathroom/shower within the room. Lobby is quite nice, w/attached bar. Karaoke &food, too."

"First of all, I messaged the host to be considerate about our change in visitor count and never received a reply! All the other reviews indicated how responsive the host was for them but not for me!! I have had no response at all about thanking us for our stay or how clean we left the property! There was dust on the living room walls and dust on bedroom ceiling fans!! Yuk! The furniture covers were a little odd.. you sit down and then find these strange plastic objects stuck in the couch!! ( I guess they were used to keep the cover tucked in) but they kept coming out and it was a pain to deal with ! The backyard could definitely need some TLC to make it better suitable for enjoying spending time out there. There was food left in the freezer/refrigerator ! Who wants to use someone’s leftovers??? Yuk!! Per instructions we were to leave our trash outside in the big trash bin and the trash apparently hadn’t been taken out in awhile… the smell was terrible and could barely stand to put our trash in!! Also.. you need to be aware of the neighborhood this house is in… if you’re expecting a nicer area that is not the case! Granted this house was pretty nice looking but the rest of the houses around it are questionable!! The back door needs to be fixed. There is a noticeable crack when the door is shut and it’s very difficult to shut back and lock! A positive thing is there were plenty of towels available and the air does keep the house at a cool temperature! TV’s were good!"

"We had a great time with our group of 25 women. Everyone loved it and commented on how beautiful it was and how much space there was. Everyone was able to be in the bed type they wanted whether a private room or shared room and people loved being there. The facilities were beautiful. The land was amazing and we only wish we had better weather and would have helped to have had more info on how to access the trails and river since it was so massive. Still it was so peaceful and beautiful. There is so much space for a large group, the kitchens are stocked with anything you can need and more. Plenty of extra blankets and throws and pool towels and really appreciated the extra details they included. We loved the pool and outdoor fire pits,had some trouble with the hot tub not heating and there wasn’t fire starter but we given a discount so appreciated that. We had several minor issues, mainly due to a county wide power outage which was out of their control. Thankfully they had generators. One wasn’t working which caused some issues with electricity and outlets and such but they were very responsive to any of our requests and showed up to help often and it was all back on after a few hours. Communication from the beginning was great, they were very helpful and accommodating. Our group is already talking about when we can go back. Highly recommend especially for big groups looking to escape in a beautiful place. "
