"We called on our way to the hotel. Was informed we needed to be there before 7pm or we wouldn’t be able to check in instead of the 1030 check in on the booking info. We barely made it. The room looked stayed in and no toilet paper or toiletries. We had to go back out and find the usual hotel provided items in an small town that shuts down early. Just an awful experience. "This is a rustic hotel, built from an old bank building. The rooms are efficient. The bed was comfortable. Our room had a corner shower in the main room, so vanity might be an issue for you. We had a small refrigerator, but no microwave. There is a window mounted air conditioner which was rather loud. The hotel is located on the main highway through town, so traffic noise was an issue. There's a very good restaurant located across the street, and a nice grocery store just one block over, so eating isn't a problem. There is plenty of parking. The rooms are all located on the second floor, so you have to haul everything up a flight of stairs. Overall, for a small isolated town, this is a decent place to stay. However, don't expect any type of luxury. The place is a bit run down, but is also sort of charming. If you're planning on riding the Cumbres and Toltec scenic railroad, this is a great location to base yourself. You're only a few minutes drive from the Antonito depot, and the next town is around an hour's drive away, making this a very convenient starting point."
