“Our stay at Ivy House was very nice. However I will not be using Expedia again. Expedia clearly stated that we would pay at the property, then shortly after booking asked us to pay 50% deposit, which after checking with the property was not required. Then 24 hours before arrival Expedia took the full amount from our account.
I will not deal with companies that behave in this manner. If you agree do not deal with Expedia. ”

“Gorgeous Hotel centrally located in the village of Hawkshead, room had all the facilities, key pad entry so no keys to carry
Bottles of water by the bedside and even my favourite Costa Coffee pods for the coffee maker
Beautiful restaurant/cafe downstairs. Breakfast was included in my stay and was one of the best I’ve had

“My sister and I spent just a couple of nights here and truly fell in love with the house and staff. Every interaction was easy and kind, the house was incredibly well kept, and the grounds were gorgeous. It's located a bit out of the way which is perfect for minimizing crowds and noise! Our room was perfectly sized and the bed/bedding comfortable. All in all, a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone in any stage of life.”

“The location is great and nearby the ferry pier.
But the hotel is not in good maintenance at room, the toilet ceiling have a lot of dirty water marks, it looked disgusting. I booked a lakeview room that cost £250 a night, but not worth it, the room is really dilapidated, even they don't have a refrigerator at room, I needed to keep my birthday cake in their restaurant. The room price wss including the breakfast but it was lack of choice, they serve breakfast until 10:30 am, when I ordered……
