"Our gal at desk was wonderful from start to finish! Helpful and congenial. The owner also went the extra mile to help US with necessary tools to fix our vehicle and offered to help DO it! Hotel is cheap and cheerful and clean and newly renovated. Offers a good night’s sleep and quick breakfast in pleasant place with easy access. "

"I love staying at the Hillcrest Inn. I have stayed here becore and it's truly a hidden gem. The rooms are very clean and modern with a cabin outdoors vibe. The bathrooms are very spacious and has all moden amenities. I love the old school motel physical key on the keychain as well. If you are passing throthe area and need a safe quiet area for a very affordable rate, the Hillcrest Inn is the place to stay. "

"Walking into this cottage was like I had been there before. The pictures are so accurate. Everything was just great. We had a fabulous time even though I didn’t get a chance to use the kayak. We did check out the historic Fayette Village state park. Also went to see the Big Spring Indian Lake. We would love to come back here again, in fact, I could just move in. The only thing was the pots and pans were not the best. Thanks for everything. Great place!"

"Our vacation goal was to spend time with our grown children and their spouses. Mission accomplished1 The house was immaculate, all the little touches were there. Owner even had scotch tape. It felt homey and as if it was planned just for us. We did get to fish and spend time on the beautiful Little Bay. The new pier is great! Bird watching and wildlife were amazing. The owner was super easy to talk with, answered text messages immediately and was so helpful. I really can't say enough nice things. We will be back next year!"

"Nice base of operations for our UP venture. Able to visit many of the sites and yet enjoyed the time at the cottage. Nice campfire by the lake. Weather was great and very few bugs. Great Lake view and comfortable accommodations. Definitely would return."
