“We loved the location and close proximity to Vail and good restaurants. The hotel was spotless”

“This was a very funky hotel billed as a bed and breakfast. The property is well over 100 years old and clearly has some deferred maintenance issues, but it was so cool and funky. I would go back in a heartbeat. I’m sure the staff is really good but when I showed up there, the door was locked there was nobody at the desk. Nobody responded to my ringing the bell and nobody answered the phone, so at that point as I was getting really frustrated. I looked down and saw an envelope with my name on it……

“You can have ventilation OR privacy but NOT both. There is no air conditioning and the only source of ventilation is a set of windows that face the hallway. Which means if you want oxygen or cool air you need to open the windows and the curtains, and everyone walking by can see and hear everything you're doing. There is a fan (glued to the window!) and if you arrange the curtains very carefully around the fan you can get some visual privacy (except for the hole for the fan). Even with the fan on……

“From the moment we checked in the ambiance was relaxing, welcoming and clean! We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and the outdoor seating for morning coffee. Both staff and breakfast were excellent! Highly recommend if you are looking for more of a modern bed and breakfast stay for a couple!”

“The beds need to be replaced and all the pillows were lumpy. We heard from several guests that sleep was difficult due to the beds and lumpy pillows. The interior seemed very clean and the parking was very convenient. Rooms were nicely decorated. Breakfast was good, but the coffee in the lobby was overly strong. The staff we dealt with were very friendly and personable.”

“It has nice view to the forest and you would be able to see the sunrise in the morning which is beautiful. The outdoor hot tub is supposed to be closed at 10pm, but people are still using it and making noises at night. We told the front desk about it, but they said the whole deck area is a common area, they couldn't do anything about it. This's weird that they have a rule to close the pool at 10pm but no one is forcing it.”
