“Really friendly and helpful team at the Locandiera. Knowledgable and helpful with places to see and eat at in the Town. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty- the Greek scrambled eggs were lovely and plenty of yoghurt, bread, and spreads. Rooms were clean and well stocked with decent towels and toiletries. “Very well kept property in central location. More like a home than a hotel with friendly reception staff greeting you on entry and exit. The hotel used to be an old mansion and we were told it is still in the family of the original owners. The decoration is sympathetic to the age of the building but with ultra modern features. There is no bar or restaurant but the breakfast is very nice.”

“We loved this hotel with its grandma’s house vibes and quirky furnishings. The balconies are lovely and the old-fashioned tiny elevator with a folding door was fun to ride (although amusingly slow). “The hotel is lovely, with everything having been recently renovated. The location is excellent; the ionanian sea across the street and many lively restaurants and bars a short walk away. The two staff members we met were very helpful and personable. Coffee in the cafe is excellent too. The only downside was the extremely expensive taxi the hotel arranged to the ferry: €25 for 1 mile.”

“Communication was almost non-existent. The entrance is an unmarked door on a narrow Old Town street. Then two flights of dark, decrepit, and narrow steep stairs carrying luggage to unmarked doors that I only knew of from another review. The host was contentious and unhelpful with pre-check in and check in, not giving any information until we paid €2 for some mystery fees. “A really good budget-conscious choice. Fantastic location right in the Old Town. A couple of very minor points though: there was nowhere to plug in the bedside lamp & a bottle opener would have been helpful!”

“I went with my husband . We worked on line and explored the island as well. The property was wonderful . It is in the middle of old town which is beautiful. It is also a 10 minute walk to a beach. The property was very comfortable and clean. The internet was great. The host was very accessible through WhatsApp and they were very friendly .”
