About this property

3 Bed in Bala (oc-waf247)

  • Switch off at this rural retreat near the village of Maerdy, close to Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. With stunning walks and attractions nearby, it’s the ideal base for a group of friends or family to explore the local area, and your canine companion is welcome too.

The semi-detached farm building conversion has been attractively refurbished and retains many of its original features to create an inviting home from home. Kick back and relax in the sitting room while the cosy wood burner roars and Rover doses next to it! The fitted kitchen has a handy breakfast bar for quick eats or head to the dining room to eat together. The lean to houses the freezer and you can use it to store your bikes. The triple bedroom is on the ground floor and the spacious king-size room and pretty double, with original beams, are on the first floor along with two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, the other has a bath and shower over. Sit outside at the front of the property where there are views of the surrounding hills, you also have access to 150 acres of farmland.

Nearby is the popular Rhug organic farm food shop, cafe, and restaurant and the local pub is just 1 mile away. Enjoy water sports, mountain biking and picturesque walks at nearby Llyn Brenig (14 miles) and Llyn Bala (9 miles). Visit the pretty town of Llangollen (14 miles) for a stroll along the picturesque Dee river, book a canal boat ride and take everyone (including your firry family member) on the heritage railway.
