"There are places you can stay and wonder if they are worth the cost. Rest assured this isn't one of them. Isolated, quiet and rural with a spectacular location in the North Wales countryside. "The hotel has a long reputation for its high standards and the professional welcome from the staff was in line with that. It is still a fine building, the room was very clean and comfortable, whilst the restaurant and public areas showed the history of its spacious previous art-deco glamour, albeit a little faded. It was a shame that no doubt former dress-code standards cannot be maintained in the 21st century as some of the customers appearance, particularly in the bar / restaurant did not match their surroundings. A pleasure to experience traditional high standards."
