"I had an amazing stay at Chalé da Caniçada! The bungalow was cozy and beautifully located in the heart of Peneda-Gerês National Park. The views of the reservoir were absolutely breathtaking, was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Well-equipped, and the host was very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature."

"Pros: Casinha muito acolhedora, situada perto de Pte da Barca e outras localidades muito bonitas de Portugal. Fomos com as nossas duas filhas, de 3 e 1 anos, que adoraram por terem muito espaço ao ar livre. Não utilizamos a piscina por ainda não ser época mas estava muito limpa, e convidativa. Voltaremos ! Cons: A nossa proposta vai apenas no sentido do deck exterior ser mais seguro para crianças pequenas. De resto tudo impecável."

"What I liked 1. staff smiles. 2. Staff were mostly helpful What I did not like: 1. My security deposit is not returned yet after check out. The reception did not mention when it will be returned. I called them and they didn’t pick up the phone. They should inform me immediately . 2. The toilet water faucet at our room didn’t work properly 3. The reception did not pay attention to our online booking at 2pm. Our room was only ready one hour later."

"The reception staff we met on day of arrival was very good. But not for rest of the days 1. House keeping staff did not understood english. Neither did they made any effort to understand what we were asking. I would expect them to atleast understand the basic words, if they are in hospitaliy business in Europe. 2. We had to call reception 2-3 times a day for water. Every day i had to walk down to reception to ask for bottle of water. It always took them more than an hour to get back with that bottle. 3. Water, tea, coffee, milk, these were never topped up upon room cleaning. We had to ask for same every single day. 4. The swimming pool they have is outdoor, is as big as a cricket pitch, a bit smaller in length I would say. 5. We had breakfast one day, again the staff was bit straight face. I found it to be bit rude."
