「This was a simple cabin in a quiet, peaceful setting on the small Cuchara river. Nothing elaborate or fancy, so don’t expect that. But if sitting by the small river in solitude is what you’re wanting, this is the place. Clean with basic necessities, just a couple of blocks from the few businesses in Cuchara, which unfortunately had almost all closed for the season the very day we arrived. 「- Mice!! Droppings on pillows every time we returned to the cabin- Not enough hot water for even just two people to shower one after the other- Exterior photos deceiving. NOT secluded, no views of surrounding mountains - only views of other cabins mere yards away - Interior photos also deceiving. Decor in photos is Gone. So are the blinds, replaced by tissue-thin, transparent drapes that don’t cover the windows. Furniture shown is gone. Nowhere to store clothing or even hang towels.- No basics...

「This place was exactly what we were looking for—secluded, quiet, and with plenty of private space. We had great fishing and caught a lot of fish during our stay. Perfect spot to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. We would absolutely come back.」
