“All interactions with people who work there are pleasant. They are all helpful and accommodating. We stayed at the cliff side. The room was relatively new, clean and has lots of space. It would have been perfect if not for the people next door, being rowdy until 2-3 in the morning. We did not call the office and complaint, we should have. “Well Taylor River Lodge is just absolutely amazing. Everything we needed for the perfect active persons getaway: Biking, Hiking, Fly fishing, rafting, bird watching, meals provided, itinerary and activity transportation arranged by staff, fabulous guides and wonderful staff catering to ones every need including provided meals, spa services and a swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, dry sauna and yard games, not to mention the wonderful river side cabins which where delightful to fall asleep in. ……

“Stayed here with my parents and it served us well as home base for a few days of fly fishing and sightseeing. Great location with river, stream, and lake fishing options within a short drive. Historic St Elmo is just up the road, and the meadow for wildlife viewing across the road from the cabin is a nice bonus. We spent time there several evenings and saw deer nearly every day, a coyote, and about a dozen bighorn sheep.”

“Diane and I highly recommend this property. From the owners, Brent & Diana to the beautiful location nestled between 2 mountain ranges to the abundance of wildlife to the comfortable cabin. We travel Wyoming, Montana & Idaho several times a year but this trip was our favorite. Surrounded by beautiful mountains no matter where you travel around the area. Wildlife!!! Mule deer, antelope and elk galore. It starts with drinking coffee or your adult beverage on the porch and the local mule deer will……

“Cozy property minutes to Mt Princeton hot springs. We spent the weekend with family and had a great time. The house was fully stocked for cooking meals and the house has the perfect mountain home feel. One very minor thing is the basement was very cold. It took a day for the space heaters to warm up the place and it was fine after this. Overall we loved it! ”

“Our stay was an excellent experience for the entire family! This house has everything we needed to enjoy the Colorado Mountains including the fishing pond with lots of fish. The location is great for the nearby hot springs, rafting and towns of Salida and Buena Vista. The beds were comfortable and the back deck was a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and the stars after dark. If you are looking for a great place for your family to relax and un plug, this is the place to go to.”

“This was our second time staying here and it was just a good and the first time. The location and coziness of the house is perfect. It could use a good deep cleaning but it wasn’t anything terrible. Mainly just noticed the cleanliness of the floors. Will be back again hopefully sooner than later!”

“I am a frequent visitor to Buena Vista. This place was such a lovely home, plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable, large kitchen and a killer view of Mt Princeton. Convenient location to everything in BV as well as the hot springs. The host was incredibly kind and responsive and let us check in early when we got in to town. “This the perfect place for a family vacation in the middle of the beautiful Collegiate peaks. The cabin was wonderful for large gatherings. We comfortably slept 9 adults with room for more. It was very clean and right in the middle of fishing, white water rafting, hiking trails and very close to snow skiing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. The owner was so responsive with ideas for groceries, restaurants and hiking trails. We had a wonderful time.”
