「The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places.」

「Great little find here! Lovely pub with great atmosphere, food fab with onsite restaurant. The room was really well presented and lovely decor. My room was facing south and west on the hottest day of the year, thankfully the staff provided a fan and there was a well stocked fridge in the room too. Breakfast was continental style in the room in a lovely hamper, plus yogurts, milk and orange juice in the fridge. Would go back again when in the area. Thanks team.」

「Joules and her Son were absolutely wonderful hosts. We couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome and we had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was outstanding - lots of choice and super fresh and tasty. Joules’ baking was a great surprise treat, a lovely touch in our room on arrival and the Brownies later in our stay were out of this world! Our room was spotless, very comfy bed, lovely armchairs with the spectacular view over Ironbridge and the valley....

「The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. 「The photos on the website are nothing like the hotel itself. Some areas have been painted and the room carpet and decor are clean but the hallways smell and the carpets are ancient and worn. There is no bar, no food at all. We booked two nights and the room wasn’t serviced during our stay. The bathroom is ancient and in poor condition.
