“My goal was to visit Castles and see the countryside!We purposely selected this place for the fact it was kinda in the middle of Ireland, from where we would make day trips. It worked wonderfully! Our other purpose was to be away from Dublin and meet what I guessed would be the true Irish. Very Close by was a fantastic Pub, and restaurant. We stayed a week here. “This cottage is a rare find for those seeking peace and tranquility. The only man-made sounds you hear are from a distant occasional train or slow moving pleasure craft on the river. There is no passing traffic as the property is near the end of a long, private lane. Silent, however, it is not. The cacophony of birdsong is extraordinary, especially mornings and evenings. “We have just returned from a very enjoyable family holiday in Ireland, with Grandma and her children (7 of us in total). “We really enjoyed this home. The location is perfect - one block from the shops and restaurants yet feels very private. The house is decorated so nicely. It is clean and tidy and has all of the supplies needed. The views from the upper level are amazing - we were able to watch the town fireworks right from one of the bedroom windows.
