“The view was beautiful and the space itself is quiet with a nice layout. It was so much better than staying at a hotel, and if you are hoping to see one of those cool (not so) little banana slugs, they are around here. We saw at least a half dozen large ones with even more babies. The location is also perfect, with stores and restaurants nearby, 40 minutes from San Jose airport, 20 minutes from Santa Cruz boardwalk and 5 minutes from Roaring Camp and Henry Cowell state park. “The vineyard and grounds are beautiful and well kept, and the local cat is very friendly, and greeted us when we arrived. While the kitchenette was small, it was useful. There is no longer a toaster oven, as the photo shows, but instead a separate toaster and a microwave. The pots and pans are stainless, and adequate for reheating and light cooking. The location is great! It's just a few minutes from some nice shops in Aptos Village, and Nisene Marks State Park, where we hiked a couple times.”

“It took a minute to adjust to the small size of the cabin; once we did, it was cozy and comfortable. The outdoor deck is great, with a couch and table, surrounded by huge trees and the sound of a creek bubbling over rocks. There is a full kitchen with a stove/oven, fridge/freezer, and hot water (that takes a few minutes to heat up). There are several cabins on the property, and doggies are welcome.”

“Paula and I truly enjoyed our stay at Pilar and Chris’ casita at the summit of Mt. Madonna. Such a beautiful and peaceful setting. Our hosts paid attention to every detail and treated us in every way how they would want to be treated. We are already talking about a return visit later this year.”

The first night we had an issue with the fire pit and the owner went above and beyond rectifying the problem to make sure we were happy. Especially loved the creek behind and the wild turkeys and a peacock! We were unable to taste any wine this time, but we'll be back!!”

“The house was perfect for our needs. We were in the area for my mother-in-law's funeral. We had two family members staying with us, and we had other family members gather with us in the evenings, which provided the opportunity to reconnect and begin the healing process. It was comfortable and spacious for a 2 bedroom home. We also appreciated the laundry room, so we could come home with clean clothes. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. “We needed a place to call home base for a few nights while traveling through CA with our kids to sleep and do laundry. Had no issues at all with the owner/manager or check-in process. There were some essential items missing like toaster, wine opener, and extra blankets but there were items there we weren't expecting like full size shower items. The driveway is VERY narrow and it's almost impossible not to bottom out by the street, beware of this. Our rental van front bumper skirt scrapped no……

“Host double booked on VRBO and other major house sharing platform. I had booked 2 months in advance (and paid) but got notice 3 hours before checking in ( was in a plane heading there) that “sorry” but could not take me that they would honor a cancellation like they were doing me a favor. They basically told me I could not stay and it was their fault it was double booked. I had to rebook at a hotel at double price because it was a busy weekend. VRBO sucked in helping. Beware. You could get……
