「We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again.」

「We had a fantastic time with our young toddler.
Spacious and well equipped property, nicely furnished and very comfortable.
Excellent and well maintained facilities with the highlights being a tennis court and an indoor swimming pool!
Beautiful and peaceful location, surrounded by fields and countryside.
Very friendly and helpful staff, really added to the experience (thanks Fraser!)

「An unpretentious but very welcoming and pleasant stay with comfortable bed, hot showers and good storage space. The standout feature was the food: the cooked breakfast was excellent and the meals in the restaurant even better. Do try the homemade Suet Steak and Kidney pudding!!」

「We had a lovely relaxing weekend break. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. Chris and Tracey were very warm and welcoming. The cake was a nice surprise. We took our dog, and he really enjoyed himself. The rooms are all large so plenty of room for him to lie down, and we had the use of a field to walk him in. 」

「The wifi is not great. So if you are planning to have some office work, I recommend take 5G device with you. Vodafone 4G worked for us but if you sit near the window.
The cottage is nice and as advertised. However, 2 things don't do in its favor: 1) The cottage is surrounded by amazing view but the cottage itself has no view ( the windows open to the street and house opposite). It is bit boring if you plan to spend day inside or on rainy day.
2) The Clun itself has nothing much except for...
