Lake front property on Lake of Egypt. Fully renovated 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, downstairs unit at the Lake of Egypt in Southern Illinois. Relaxing sitting area facing the lake for the perfect sunsets. Grill included and fire pit included. You have your own boat dock, paddle boards, and kayaks for use. This property sleeps 10 people and can be rented in conjunction with the upstairs unit to sleep a total of 18 people.

The basement apartment was kinda nice, it would have been ok if it were clean. There was toothpaste in sink, hair in the shower, mold in the shower curtain, thick dust on the fans, and the towels smelled of mildew. One toilet would not flush right, there were many lights out in the bathrooms. Really, it just needed a deep clean. The outside was not well-maintained, with leaves and trash all over the outside sitting area. There was a mop sitting by the door, and nothing was kept up or staged well. The dock and view were lovely.

House was nice. Freezer is hard to open because its next to a wall amd we couldnt get the grill to work. Also the electricity down at the docks didnt work so we could charge our boats. Alsp O read a review about how the ceiling isnt insulated. 100% true. You can hear the rentors upstairs. Personally O would rent it again next year. Most issues will be fixed as the owner was very nice.

Nice place to stay. As a fishermen, parking was not boat/truck friendly. As to 3 other cabins using the same little parking area. Nice walk down to the dock and the view of the lake was great. House was very nice & clean. Except for the Locked thermostat. And the washer and dryer didn't work.

We enjoyed our stay, very spacious. Beautiful sunset views. Next time we stay we will need to enjoy the lake. Takes a bit off time on backroads to get to but I view that as a good thing.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL

My family and I were just looking for a place to relax for Thanksgiving week we booked this place a few days in advance the host was awesome in reaching out and making sure I understood certain details about the property as well as what was expected from my family and I. We’ve never been outside of Chicago so the distance was perfect as well as the location the lake view and deers at night were an added bonus for us we’ll definitely be booking again for Christmas I definitely enjoyed. Everything was clean entry was easy we absolutely loved it

Great lake vacation stay

It was a great and spacious cabin for our family. Minor issues with missing supplies was easily fixed. We loved fishing off the dock and having bonfires. We will recommend this cabin to friends. bonfires. Would recom

Check in was seamless, there was a very small issue with a toilet and someone was immediately available to come fix it! They are more than accommodating! We decided to stay an extra night, although our place was already booked, they kindly let us move next door for our extra night with no problem! Views are great, beds are comfortable and there is plenty to do and see

So close, but no cigar

Nice property, but not clean in the corners. The kitchen was spacious, but oddly arranged in such a way that one could not fully open the freezer door. No ceramic plates and only one glass--everything else was plastic--including the non-stick coatings on all of the cookware. We got some wine glasses from the neighboring rental that my nephew was in. The beds were good, but covered with a mattress protector that assured you would awake in a sweat sticking to it. There is no insulation between the upstairs and downstairs units, so be prepared. The dock and the yard were great, however; the downstairs patio was musty and could have been cleaned. We willingly paid top dollar due to the eclipse. A thorough cleaning, a drip coffee maker, a couple of pots and pans, a few glasses and 8 ceramic plates would go a long way to making this a first rate property.

Girl’s weekend

Kitchen didn’t have some of the basics such as measuring cups, can opener and mixing bowls. No chairs for the fire pit. Kayaks and paddle boat were available, we enjoyed using them. The lake is beautiful. Toilet in the master bath is wobbly. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay and could see staying here again in the future.
