"Seclusion. Beauty. Comfortable. Kitchen stocked for cooks. Great dog area. No neighbors. No noise or night light pollution.Lots of nooks and areas for guests to get away from one another if desired.Gorgeous trim, carpentry, tiles - talented artist work. Creative niches.Modern appliances, easy instructions.The huge hottub is easy to operate and faces a scenic landscape. The sauna is modern and roomy. Bring indoor/outdoor slippers to walk down the gravel path. There are extra linens and blankets. There also some nice dog beds.This property is remote and nestled into USFS, so children and dogs should not have free range after dark.Our group wanted to fly fish, hunt grouse, hike, bike ride, and also shop or go into town for sightseeing. We were simply 20 minutes from Creede, which is super cute lil mountain town.Trailheads are in every direction within minutes of the cabin.We visit this area a lot. We sometimes go 4WD to fly fish remote creeks and lakes. The cabin is super convenient and local to all types of outdoor activities. There are also interesting drives to look at mining history in the area and Geology.Inside and outside the cabin, you will come across interesting art, or books, or rocks and "tchotchke", or knick knacks.We had a clue that this is a part-time home of loving people who see nature and history and time with appreciation for peace and beauty.Advice: keep your eyes off your phone and enjoy the view through the huge picture windows."

"Super cozy cabin with all the amenities we needed. It’s definitely rustic but with some knowledge of how to work a wood stove it’s very comfortable inside. Plenty of basic cooking equipment to heat up meals. Private bathroom is separate and is about a 3 minute walk away/1min drive. Clean and nice inside there too. Host was gracious and communicative. Setting couldn’t be better right on the river and the views of the valley are great. Close to town center."

"Great place to stay steps away from downtown Creede. Had a litttle trouble getting in on the first day, but when I contacted the host they handled it right away and was very friendly. We also needed an Alan wrench to adjust my daughter’s wheelchair and didn’t have one. I contacted the host to ask if here was one in the house. There wasn’t but she had the maintenance guy stop by with his tools and we got it fixed. He was also very nice and even left the set of Alan wrenches in case we needed them again during our stay. The house was great as well with plenty of room for multiple family members. We would definitely recommend this location to other travelers."
