“Had a lovely 2 night stay in granary cottage. Set in lovely private grounds. The cottage was very spacious, clean, eqipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. “Had an amazing stay at Whorlton Lodge. Very spacious and very clean was a home from home. We will definitely be returning in the summer. The views were beautiful from the front windows. The enclosed gardens was amazing for our dog milo who had a lovely time playing in the garden and exploring. Keith was lovely and so helpful!”

“A lovely welcome by receptionist and an upgrade to a superior room was very nice. Lovely staff at breakfast too, especially Stephen. Food at breakfast was lovely. Rooms are a bit dated and in need of some decoration but bedding lovely and clean. Pool nice but spoilt by younger generation who didn’t know how to behave in a spa pool. “Nice hotel with good facilities. Excellent spa and gym. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was buffet with some options to order from the kitchen. Everything was freshly cooked and warm with plenty of staff to attend tables. We used as a base to travel into Durham. Used park and ride which is only 5 mins on the bus and costs £2.20 return - much easier than the hassle of driving into a city centre at the weekend and trying to find a car park. I would definitely use the hotel again.”
