"We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended."

"We couldn't lock the front door all week! The key would not turn. We tried to contact the host but never heard from them. This made the holiday very stressful. The tv did it work either which was annoying. The water pressure in the ensuite shower was really poor making it unusable. The cottage could be so lovely but it feels uncared for and the owner is impossible to contact."

"We had a wonderful stay Monday 25th - Friday 29th. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The thick walls were fabulous at providing a cool place during the heatwave. The upstairs got quite warm but we took fans with us and it cooled down at night so was not a problem. The garden is absolutely breathtaking! Our 6 year old enjoyed exploring and particularly loved the tree swing. The BBQ was easy to set up and we ordered some champagne from the owners’ vineyard which was a great accompaniment to our BBQ! You definitely need a car as it’s quite out of the way but that suited us fine. The only thing we were gutted about was not being able to use any of the log fires due to the weather being so hot, I can imagine in the colder months it being super cosy with them on!The hosts were easy to get hold of, welcoming and even allowed us to stay after check out as they had no one booked in after us which was very kind! Would definitely recommend!"
