Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive Resort, Curio by Hilton

"This was my 3rd time staying with my family at this resort in the last few years so my expectation the 3rd time around was that I would have the same level of comfort that I experienced the first two times. I paid for an ocean view and unfortunately when I checked in I did not. The Front desk person could not help us and did not appear to know the running's of the compound as they also gave us wrong information with regards to meals services at night. They advised me to see guest services the following day. I must say that guest services easily resolved the issue and we were relocated to a new room with proper ocean views. Later than night the AC in the room would not work and when we called the front desk, we were informed that a certain part of the building that the AC was in need of service. We were located to another room just for the night in order to get a good night's rest with a proper working AC. The next day we moved back to our ocean view room where the AC was checked daily. The guest service personnel were great though and tried their best to ensure all was well. One of the only premium bars on the compound no longer carried a certain brand of alcohol that they carried the year prior so that was a little disappointing. Overall the experience was good and I thank the guest services personnel for doing their best despite the challenges we had."

"My boyfriend and I stayed for about a week in one of the penthouse suites and, frankly, we could not have asked for a better experience. The kitchen was pretty well stocked (with kitchen supplies, not food obviously), the bed was very comfortable, the front desk agents were really great and incredibly helpful (especially the woman with the glasses), the pool was really fun and great to swim in, the breakfast (which we had prepaid for) had plenty of options that varied a bit every day and 5hat were all very good and fresh, the shower was very nice, the washing machine worked well (although you do have to bring/buy your own detergent), the balcony was super practical and had a pretty great view (except for the big red building blocking a bit of it but that was fine tbh) and everything was very clean. Overall, we loved everything and would strongly recommend this institution to anyone thinking about visiting Punda or Curacao and i would recommend a room with a kitchen as restaurants can get a bit expensive. The only tiny complaint was that we asked for no housekeeping a few times as we did not need it and that information did not seem to reach the cleaning crew as we had housekeeping come to our room every day. Also, the bar has a happy hour from 5 to 6 every day but the rules are not very clear as some drinks are half off and some aren’t but there isn’t any indication on which are which. The piña coladas are amazing there tho so i would recommend getting one! Thank you Ritz!!"

"The staff (most of them, not all) were not welcoming at all. Always felt like we were annoying them. The location and parking was fantastic. The room was good except for the sewers smell."

"This room cost a lot of money. Let’s start there. For the amount of money that was paid for this room, I should have been able to use air. We were told that if we used the AC we would be charged an additional fee. It was hot as hell the entire time!! Literally dripping sweat after showering. Next the house was infested with cockroaches. My husband killed 5 cockroaches during our stay!!! I was terrified that something was going to crawl on me or in me while I was sleeping. We were also charged an additional fee to use adaptors so that we could charges our devices. After paying for the adapters they still did not produce enough voltage and stopped charging anything altogether. We had to use portable chargers for everything. There was also a golf cart that we could not use. So we had to walk 20 mins in the sweltering sun just to get to the beach on the resort. We ended up renting a car because no one wanted to pass out from a heatstroke. Mind you it was already hot as hell in the house. We paid way too much money to be inconvenienced the way we were. I will never ever come back to blue bay"

"The location is perfect and within walking distance of several restaurants and attractions. The beach is beautiful and never had an issue getting chairs or towels. The room was clean and comfortable, and quiet."

"We stayed at Lion’s Dive for 6 days and I have to say it was fabulous. The room was spacious and modern, the property was extremely clean. It wasn’t too congested and had just enough people for our liking. The ocean was breathtaking and so relaxing and the snorkeling was fun. We loved the staff at Piazza and at the Chill bar. We highly recommend this resort and will be back."
