"My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this pretty cottage on the grounds of the lovely estate. The cottage is well-equipped, nicely designed, and very comfortable. It is well located for the port towns and cliff tops of the Lizard Peninsula. I recommend a visit to the stunning Minack Theatre - an outdoor theatre built into the cliffs with views across the ocean, as well as the nearby town of Helston. Thank you, Charles!"

"Such a lovely little holiday home, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Teg is literally in the middle of nowhere, blink and you’ll miss the turning so make sure you read your email directions. We didn’t! We followed the sites postcode directions which aren’t specific enough. The accommodation is so quaint, lots of lovely blues and Cornish ware China, everything you need to make a cup of tea and coffee and toast and the hosts very kindly left us a cream tea to enjoy when we arrived. "I was very happy with the hotel overall. The facilities provided were excellent, and I had a pleasant stay. My only disappointment was that I did not get the sea view that was shown in the pictures when I made the booking. I was expecting a room with a sea view, so this was a little disappointing. Apart from that, everything was good, and I appreciate the facilities and services provided by the hotel."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Alverton. The room by the courtyard was very nice, and the bed super comfortable. Nice and quiet as well. The one thing that was a bit disappointing was the breakfast - we had decided to stick with the continental option, the buffet was limited, the toast we had ordered never arrived, and my mum’s gluten free toast got there only just before we left, more than half an hour in. I appreciate things can get busy, but it was unfortunate that there was no communication about it."

"Despite being at the hotel during a bad storm we had a good stay. We made use of the pool and poolside amenities with our 6 yr old who enjoyed it. We ate at the Brasserie and had the best meal we’ve had for a long time - it was expensive, but worth it. Our room was clean and well presented; it was a luxury family room with a sun deck. All the staff we interacted with were polite, helpful and positive. We’d definitely stay again and recommend."

"Beautiful hotel, classic early 1900's style. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the pool was out of commission for the duration of our stay but they offered us alternative spa treatments instead. My one recommendation would be to allow guests to lock their doors from the inside and to provide hooks on the outside of all doors to allow "Do not disturb" signs to be hung up. We had neither and a member of the cleaning staff came into the room whilst we were in bed asleep. The staff were very apologetic and this issue can be easily avoided with the above solutions."
