「The place was so charming and clean. The view was breath taking. Close to everything.」

「Such a wonderful experience! The Shire was the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend in nature. We enjoyed kayaking, sitting by a fire, and soaking in the hot tub. The house is so charming, and the property is simply magical. Mentone was also very cute. We loved getting tea at The Mad Hater, and dinner at Elevation and The Wildflower Cafe was delicious (make a reservation). We hope to come back every season to see all Mentone has to offer.」

「Very unique cottage and property with several other themed lodgings and themed common areas. Goats and miniature horse on property you can pet and feed. Cottage has so many treasures to look at , beds are comfy, and space is used well. Very close to downtown Chickamauga but still in a country setting. Highly recommend this property and host.」

「Tranquil and so very peacefull. The home is beautilfy decorated. We had deer in the back yard the first night there. The next day in traveling to Desota Falls we saw 8 Deer grazing along the road way. We are thinging about when we can get back and say in the same home!」

「The cottage was immaculate, beautiful and private. Communication with the host was done via email, very professional. The only complaint we had was that the hot tub was not functional while we were there. Otherwise this was the perfect, magical getaway.」

「Kitchenete is " at your own risk " all pots and pans, well there are no pans. The others all are so old they are rusted. Don't do cooking with rust. Stove top is way beyond an overhaul. No place to set down and eat unless you want to do it in the floor. The structure its self is in horriable shape. You can see the outside all the way around the front door. Bed was somewhere I am thinking out of the 70's, 80's at best. Worst mattress I have ever slept on. I usally don't just shred apart a place...

「The house was very clean and quiet. The owners were very quick to respond to all of my messages. The view off the back porch was not as good as advertised due to the height of the trees and we did not have access to a washer and dryer while there. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay at this house!」

「If you're looking for a laid-back, beautiful retreat - this is it! It is just as it is photographed! Such love and care was put into making this getaway stress-free. So many DVDs, board games. Kitchen is stocked with all the little things. Bobbie & Ray are such great hosts. They are available and close by. THE BED - Oh my gosh, THE most comfortable bed! We will definitely be returning to their little slice of heaven!」
