“Just returned from an idyllic 2 nights at The Green Dragon. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment and it was just lovely. The bed was amazing and I could have sat looking out of the window the whole time I was there. A stunning location that is central to many wonderful places and the most amazing scenery. “The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again.”

“I don't know where to start I wish we were staying longer. From arriving, being settling in, the meals, the service, the locals, the surrounding area, was just all perfect. “If you would like to experience living in a 400 year old cottage, with many original features, surrounded by so much beauty and peacefulness, then this is the place for you! I cannot recommend it enough. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by hens and cats. We were then shown to our ‘living area’, bathroom and upstairs - a double bed and bunk beds. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. There were so many extras included - books, binoculars, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/fresh……

“We stayed for just one night, picking our son up from D of E at Aysgarth Falls. The landlord and lady were so friendly, and had a few beers with us. It was a gorgeous hotel packed with character. The bedroom was very clean and the whole stay was so enjoyable. The breakfast was top drawer, and sobtasty. We walked to the waterfall as advised, well worth it. Thanks to the incredible hosts. See you again soon! ”

“5 stars are not enough for the George and Dragon - the absolute best care and hospitality can be found here! Such a gem in a beautiful village with so much history. All the staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and generous portions. Only place open for dinner in the evening so be sure to reserve! Highly highly recommend. ”

“A comfortable cottage with all necessary amenities, including a wood burning stove and plenty fuel. Located in a small village near a friendly pub. Village shop is only open half days but Leyburn with a range of shops and places to eat is only 4 miles. Great area for walking”
