An indoor exhibition with a central green structure displaying multiple screens, surrounded by informational displays and a curved wall with various posters.
A wall of signed baseballs.

An exclusive country club and a majestic shopping village filled with high-end brands highlight one of the most affluent neighbourhoods in Texas.

Park Cities combines the communities of the City of University Park and the Town of Highland Park in northern Dallas. It is a trendy and well-heeled edge of the city, filled with museums, schools and shopping zones. See how the wealthy locals go about their days as you traverse this serene part of Dallas.

At the heart of the local culture and activity is the Highland Park Shopping Village, recognisable by its impressive dome and colonial design. Dine at its elegant restaurants and browse the upscale stores. Look around the shops of some of the world’s most luxurious brands.

On the eastern side of the mall is the Dallas Country Club, another symbol of the area’s prosperity. Read about the club’s extraordinary exclusivity and famous members, current and former. Enjoy the leafy setting of nearby Abbott Park, which has tennis courts and a children’s playground.

Get a sense of local culture and history by exploring the district’s museums. The Meadows Museum of Art was inaugurated with a collection of Spanish art and is a key part of Southern Methodist University (SMU). Head to the college’s other highlights, including the Gerald J. Ford Stadium, Westcott Field and the Moody Coliseum.

The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum has a range of exhibits relating to its namesake’s period as president, including artefacts from the 2001 World Trade Centre attacks, a display called Life in the White House and an exact replica model of the Oval Office.

Park Cities stands on the eastern side of Dallas Love Field Airport and the area of Bluffview in the northern part of Dallas. Take a combination of tram and bus to get here from the city centre in about 30 minutes or drive north for 7 miles (11 kilometres). While here, take the time to visit the neighboring areas of Lakewood, Lower Grenville and Knox Henderson.
