Location was great for our family as we were looking for a getaway. Neighbors were loud but not late a night. Whole place could use an update but it was comfortable and the furniture was comfy. The view of the lake was nice and the back deck was relaxing.

Family vac

Overall the property was good and we had a great family vacation. The house could use a little tlc with a good cleaning to get rid of some cob webs. There could also be a better description of which dock goes with the property. We would definitely stay again.

Cute quite area. Plenty of space and clean. Only tho g k would change is to make sure there is a garbage can in the kitchen living area. Ou trash cans were in the bathrooms and two of the large ones that get placed by the road I the garage. Also, loved that it had a garage that we could use! Most places don’t allow access to them.

Family of 5 adults and one child. We enjoyed our stay. The furniture in living room and bedrooms was comfortable for 5. The kitchen table only sat 4. Lake was nice and easy to get to. House itself could have been cleaned better. Kitchen stocked better with more glasses, silverware, serving items. Ice maker upstairs did not work. We were given the wrong Wi-Fi code and that took a day to work out. House would be so much nicer if they painted a few walls and cleaned or replaced living room carpet and downstairs floor. And CLEANED it nester.

VRBO contacts were very slow at any responses

Overall a great home. However we had several issues from the moment we got onsite. First the code was wrong for the entry door. We were on hold with VRBO for over 45 minutes until someone answered. It took hours for anyone to arrive. There was a lockbox with a key up front and the back of the house. One had no key. The other had a key but not to this house. The one neighbors home is a dump and has trash everywhere. He even was walking around his yard with a shot gun one evening. WiFi directions did not work. This was mentioned several times by others and still not fixed. Views were awesome and a great space overall outside of these issues.

Beautiful Place and the Space! But….

The unobstructed views every morning and spacious home would attract individuals from miles around. Still able to receive certain essential amenities(Instacart-unfortunately daughter and ex’s mother got sick day of trip). Lake was within walking distance As we were there to lay/spread our late Child’s’ father ashes on the ever-flowing Douglas Lake. As for the but…updating conveniences, providing essential amenities/toiletries within this spacious home would not only increase retention rates but may allow warranted increase of rental rates. Providing basic household items: salt/pepper, coffee/tea, bottled water (because ice maker did not provide ice) etc. Essential items to make the house feel like a home away from home. Provide a small welcome book (updated house code, accurate WiFi info, where to place trash etc). This ensures clear communication on cleaning prior to leaving and many other helpful things. Overall, bittersweet reasoning for rental, but overall enjoyed the space and views of TN in your back yard!

Great location

Overall it was a nice house, with easy access to all things around Douglas Lake. The only downsides were that we had to wash the sheets, as one set was not clean, with some dirt and trash in the bed. Also, there was no hairdryer, contrary to what was listed in the amenities.

Great potential but...

We booked this property to be close by the water for a post-Thanksgiving get together and overall it was a good experience. Nice view and property has tons of potential. The property itself was good although the vrbo listing was inaccurate as far as sleeping arrangements and left us short of a bed. The internet did not work the entire time we stayed even though we went thru every troubleshooting option. I kept messaging the vacasa staff and they gave me the same answer - 'we contacted the local staff.' No one from the local staff ever contacted us and we ended up streaming the games via our laptop and phones. Based on our experience with this vacasa property, I am not sure I would ever book another vacasa managed property again just based on the lack of support they provided.

Great home!

We loved our stay at this property!! Awesome views in a nice e quiet neighborhood. We rented a boat from Swann’s marina and had a fabulous time on the lake. House was clean and comfortable could use some upgraded pots and pans but we made due. We will stay here again thank you!

Better than expected

We stayed with two families(our family and another family of 4) for Labor Day weekend. Based on other reviews we weren't sure what to expect. It was ideal for our two families. I wasn't clear if you had to go outside to get to the basement but that wasn't the case. Our teens enjoyed the downstairs and the parents enjoyed the upstairs. The dock was on the ground but apparently can be moved. We just trailored our boat daily. The lake was great. The place was very clean. There is wear and tear because it was built in the 80s I imagine. Decor was to a minimum which was perfect because there is less to break. One couple does get a better room with a king size bed and ensuite.

Fantastic views

We loved our stay at this house. It is in a great location. Waking up every morning to a view of the beautiful lake was so relaxing and I loved having coffee and meals out on the deck or patio. We even had some friends over to play pool. Absolutely wonderful and look forward to staying again.
