"This hotel is located in the Pingshan area and it has only operated since 2015/12 so everything is new. There are floors in the middle part of the building that is still obviously unoccupied and parts of the outdoor area still under renovation. Depending on where you are going, this hotel is "close" to Longgang bordering Huizhou but it is quite far from the "city centres" in SZ. The hotel is a block away from the SZ metro so you can get there quite quickly from anywhere. There are a few local eateries around the area (within 2 long blocks). If you are looking for Western options, there is a KFC on the same block and McD across the street at the back of the hotel. There is also a Tim Hortons around the corner. The front desk staff is very helpful, cheerful and polite BUT do expect English to be limited. Get your translator ready (not google as it won't work in China) and you will have no problems. Checking in was a breeze but they did have a bit of an issue with a shorten first name when compared to the passport - so be sure to have the same name as the one you will be checking in with when booking. Rooms are massive, full of amenities and very clean. There were minor issues such as hairs in certain places but nothing to stress about as every hotel room has the same issue everywhere. The electronic curtains will open when you open the door and the buttons at the bed to operate them was great in the morning and evening. Overall, an excellent stay and value."

"There are a number of negative reviews about this hotel, so I thought I might balance some of these with the following: - First of all, the hotel is not 'on the site' of the airport. From what I can tell, there are no hotels actually 'inside' the airport. It would be appropriate for the hotel to say so. - The free pick up from the airport, could be better explained. On arrival, call the hotel but remember that the staff don't speak English. They use an app which can translate English/Chinese down the phone. Be patient. All the hotel needs to know is 'who you are' and that you have arrived. - Go upstairs from the arrivals area to 'gate 42' (this is what the airport actually calls the exits). - There are three rows of traffic dropping off/collecting passengers. Be patient. Rogue taxi drivers will try to entice, saying 'you will wait 2 hours for the hotel pick up'. These are lies. It takes 20-30 mins for the transport to arrive- usually on the middle stand. The hotel uses a black van or a white sedan car (including English writing on the lower side). The driver has your name on an app and will look for you if you don't see it. - Not much room for more details but the hotel is clean, the rooms large and the breakfast good (don't expect muesli/yoghurt but there is coffee). Most of the food is cooked Chinese food. - The staff are friendly and polite. - For an evening restaurant, turn left and left. We found one with images- pointed; have Alipay on your phone. "
