Staff was very friendly and very accommodating for a last minute decision to stay and unsure if I would need to stay another night due to a road closing and undetermined reopening. The staff tried to help me figure the status of the road closing keeping me from my home. Very kind」

「Check-in was easy and they worked with me when I arrived earlier than expected. The room was huge, clean, and more than adequate. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and will definitely be back. It's very convenient to the Outer Banks and Alligator River NWR so it's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, birders (like me!), and wildlife photographers. 」

「I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. Lisa, the innkeeper, was very helpful and friendly. Beth, the Manager and breakfast chef was super hospitable. With the beach just a short walk away...we...

「As an older hotel, it has a few cosmetic things but nothing major. Very quiet but also off season- great rate!! We had an issue with the blow dryer which was taken care of very quickly by maintenance. Enjoyed our stay」

「We go to the OBX about twice a year and choose to stay here every time. The room is always spotless. Staff is friendly and helpful. My 15 year old grandson loved spending time in the exercise room. Pool and the hot tub are well maintained.Reasonably priced for all they offer. I like helping a locally owned business as opposed to a chain.」
