Nice area and beautiful home.

Spacious get away

This is a lovely home nestled in a beautiful neighborhood. The home was very spacious for our needs. Nice, modern decor which made it cozy. Only a couple of negatives which were the coffee pot did not work properly. It took 45 minutes to brew a pot. The shower pressure was not great and there were lots of cobwebs. Also could use new pillows on the beds. They were awful! We tried contacting the manager with his personal number that he gave to inquire about the possibility of a later check out and we got no response. Overall a very nice place.

Perfect Getaway

Had a great experience, beautiful location, very nice spacious house, close to everything we wanted to do. We highly recommend this rental and are looking forward to going back.

Nice place and worked grear for our family!

House was new, nice and up to date. Plenty of space and located in a quiet spot. Had a few issues with water pressure and tempature control which could easily be improved.

Excellent Lodge

My husband and I along with two other couples stay at this brand new lodge for a long weekend of ITV trailing. This lodge is tastefully decorated, brand new, and stocked with all the amenities you need! We were surprised to see coffee, laundry soap, and even foil and sandwich bags! Beautiful setting and location too! We highly recommend this lodge!

AH-MAZING!

We absolutely loved staying here. Will definitely be back. Area is stunning. House was beautiful and pristine. Property manager was responsive. Community center was an added bonus. Close to Terry Peak. Beautiful development. My husband and six kids stayed and all got their own beds. Garage to park in. Just all...ah-mazing. Thank you!

Hills vacation

Fire pit and plastic lounge chairs unusable. Cleaning staff not getting into corners or outside of stairs. Heavy layer of dust on those. Even toilet paper dispenser covered in thick layer of dust. That was just the bathroom I used.

Winter Wonderland at Powder House Pass

This house was the perfect place in Powder House Pass for our family of five adults to hang out between skiing and snowmobiling. We rented snowmobiles from Mad Mountain which worked great. The trails were in excellent condition. The house appointments and everything else was awesome. We had thought two more adults and three children from our family might be joining us, and if they would have, this house is perfectly set up for that.

Morning Star

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had an issue with the water heater and called the property manager. A plumber came and fixed the problem. Our grandchildren loved the pool and the splash pad at the community center. The house was only a short walk away from the center. Powder House Pass is well located, only short drive to Lead for any additional supplies you might need.

Outstanding location and home, poor finishes.

The house is wonderful and in a fantastic location for exploring Deadwood and the northern black hills. The community pool was very nice. The finishes on the house were not great. The TV constantly had issues responding to the remote. The washer also had to be kicked off multiple times to complete a load of clothes due to low water flow. The place could definitely be five stars with a little more caring touch to it.

Beautiful Home BUT Very disappointed!!

Home was beautiful and location was perfect for our motorcycle trip however we ran into a number of issues that were very disappointing considering the price we paid. First there was still a load of sheets and towels in dryer running upon our arrival. Towels were put up wet (not damp) as it appeared they were not prepared for our arrival. More importantly, the downstairs bedroom had dirty sheets, hair clumps and dirt (gross) and pictures were provided to owner but no response. Hot tub was not properly cleaned as it foamed terribly on day 1. Pacman machine only let you move right so couldn't enjoy. Electric dart board gave error message and didn't work. I did reach out prior to leaving this review and was given a refund on the cleaning fee...honestly would have expected more considering but lesson learned.

Falling Star Very good location with plenty of wildlife to enjoy as you sit on the porch or take a leisurely walk. Here is what we liked about Falling Star: o Host’s rapid response to questions. o Gas stove o Ample beautiful bathrooms with good water pressure in zero-entry showers o Nice complement of appliances o Mirrors in bedrooms o All beds were very comfy with great closet space in room o Lovely interior touches o Great natural light in living area o Comfortable gathering areas upstairs and downstairs o Washer and dryer availability o Enjoyed the games (cornhole, electronic darts and games downstairs) o Frequent visits from doe and fawn families, morning and dusk. o Hot tub worked perfectly o Good housekeeping overall Potential areas for consideration: o Would appreciate clearer instructions for trash disposal in the home-guidebook. There were no instructions for recycling, but a recycling trash can was out front by the porch. What should be included in the recycling can? (Glass? Cans? What plastics?) Where and when should the recycling trash can be placed for pick-up? o Final instructions in home-guidebook differed slightly from email. Perhaps an update is needed? o We missed having a crockpot in kitchen. o A little tight on space for vehicles/trailers/Can Ams for our purposes. o TVs are not in all adult bedrooms o Could not get the TV downstairs to work. Allergy Sufferers Beware

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros - the house we stayed in was new, clean, and gorgeous - it was a far cry from most of the other lodging choices in the area, that were much older and rustic. The location was exactly what we were looking for. The club house, pool, hot tub, and other amenities were great, we made full use of them.Cons - My kids and I have lots of allergies, and my kids both have eczema. These are all aggravated by scented cleaning/laundry products. At home we use all scent-free laundry and cleaning products, so it's not usually an issue for us, and is very easy for us to control. When we walked into the rental house, we were hit hard with all kinds of smells - scented trash bags, hand soaps, Febreeze, laundry soap, fabric softener, dryer sheets, etc. We have stayed in many other rental houses, condos, hotels, resorts, etc... and have never had an issue with any of these things - as in, they weren't there. After spending three nights at this property, we all left with headaches, sneezing, feeling stuffed up and congested, and my kids eczema was both flaring up from the laundry products that were used on all of the sheets and towels. These are not uncommon conditions for kids/families to have, and not having ever dealt with this before with rental houses, I didn't even think to ask if these products were used in the home. (I guess these will now be standard questions when booking a reservation anywhere.) Had we not prepaid for our stay and been 9+ hours from home, we definitely would have left early. I know that this may not apply to all guests, but there's a reason that most places are scent free - it keeps the majority of guests happy and healthy.Also - a few suggestions:A toaster would be great for the kitchen.Night lights for the bathrooms and waterproof mattress protectors would be helpful for travels with young kids.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Parking was limited, pictures are deceiving. Had not been dusted in a long time. Upstairs very hot even with the AC on. Owner of the property decided to stop by and come inside the house at 10pm with no notice. Internet was not working, line got cut. Construction next door with a generator that ran all day and night.

Lifelong Memories with Family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience at Falling Star was unforgettable! The spacious, cozy rooms were perfect for all members of our family(13). The deck was perfect for us to grill outside, play games, eat, and have conversation. The garage was a tremendous help when it rained as we were able to play cornhole and have the grandkids play there as well. The acoustics are amazing! Very spacious for all of us. The kitchen allowed us to cook our meals for all and not create clutter or feel compacted. Accessibility to the Community Center was awesome! We ventured there several times and we loved it! A perfect distance from the Country Club, Deadwood or anything else you wanted to do. I would recommend cleaning the grill grates. Your communication was spot on as all of our questions were answered immediately. Thank you, Thank You for a very memorable stay for our family. Many tears were shed when we left. My grandson summed it up best when he said, "I want to stay here longer!"
