Nice place but needs a little work to be a good ABNB
The place was nice, needed a couple of things. (blender, batteries for smoke alarms, more towels, more hot water, bigger TV, alarm clock). The access to the lake and lake view back porch was nice. Needed outside lights (Back and front), wash and dryer would have been nice to have. The small things makes a big difference.

Charming location
It was a nice stay- the view from the cottage is nice and location was great because I have family in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Battle Creek- I flew in and they did provide linens but for 5 days we had 1 towel each and 1 wash cloth- no washer and drier on site- coffee pot probably needs a replace. That said the place was warm and welcoming- think grandmas cottage.

Sorry about the towel, and wash cloth. I have instructed my cleaning lady to put it out. I didn't think that all she had laid it out. Thank you for letting me know about the coffee pot, will replace it.

Favorite vrbo rental so far
We LOVED the peaceful setting, the fireplace, and the cabin layout. We like checking out new places for each trip - but think we may come back here. Although we did love our stay - there was one small disappointment. In the listing, there was a spa whirlpool. There was not one of any kind. Not enough to not come back, but hoping the website gets updated.

Nice cottage on Lake 21
This is a nice cottage on Lake 21. I stayed there with my wife and 4 kids for a week. There were a couple of plumbing problems, but the host resolved them quickly.

We love this property
This was our 6th summer staying at this property. As always it was just what we needed. We were close to family and loved having a lake out the back door. We will be back next summer.

Great Getaway!
This property was awesome! My family and I had a great experience. Everything was as expected. Great location, large lot, and accessories for fun on the lake! We had a great time taking out the row boat and canoe. As stated, the fishing was amazing! We caught so many fish, not many keepers, but it wasn’t our intent to keep anyways. In regard to the house, it had everything we needed. Just needed to bring our own bed sheets and towels. I was a little worried about not having AC (was in the mid-80’s, but there were big trees shading the lot/house for a good part of the day, and there was a great breeze coming off the lake, so it was pleasant. We kept the windows open in the evening, and closed during the day, which kept it cool enough. We were already talking about potentially coming back next summer!

Perfect place to unplug!
I was hoping to find a place to celebrate my mother’s 79th birthday. The place I had hoped for would be on a lake, with a fire pit, beautiful sunsets, kayaking & boating capabilities, a comfortable home as well as a quiet surrounding. This place had all of these and more! My 14 year old twin boys are typically glued to their computers, so it was nice to be on the water and spending some quality time with their grandparents! My father doesn’t like to leave his home much but admittedly had a fantastic time! If you’re looking for a place to unplug, relax and spend some quality time with your family, this is the perfect place!!

Classic cabin by the lake experience
A great little place that's on the more reasonable end pricewise in a high demand area. It's less the newtimey fancy type of cabin and more simple and down to earth pleasures, which is personally what we like. We took the rowboat out on the the lake and it was really peaceful. Thank you!

We were in the area for my Mother’s Memorial Service.
The setting was nice, a lake front cottage with nice views. Unfortunately the weather was cool and rainy. We woke up on our last morning to a dusting of snow. The furnace is annoying, very loud. The main bathroom is only accessible by walking through a bedroom. Very limited closet space. The beds are very comfortable and the living area seating is comfortable as well.

No steps in house
Our little house was very nice and cozy. My husband and I both use walkers, so not having any step into or in the house was great. We didn't try to go down the steps to the beach. I sure wish we didn't have to bring our own linens. What is we were flying? Half bath was difficult to use because it was so small. Our son and his wife had the master bedroom and full bath. After they left we used that bath and it was much better.

Thank you for the review. Our price is reflected on our clients bringing on their own linens. If you were flying we will provided the linens for little extra cost. The half bath is a functional, extra toilet and sink, it's very narrow, sorry it would be very difficult to use with the walkers

Great Getaway
The place was perfect for a weekend fishing getaway with my Dad and brother. It was so nice being right on the water with access to everything we needed. And it's only a few miles from a grocery store, bait shop, cafe and restaurant. The hostess was wonderful and answered all my questions in a timely manner.

Cozy cottage
The cottage layout was very nice with a great view of the water from the common areas. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Other than, after reading previous comments and reviews, we decided to bring our own coffee maker. We did modify our shower schedule for a family of 3, because of the lack of hot water. The week was warmer than I remember Michigan ever being. But we made do.

Our vacation
The fishing and relaxation was nice. I would suggest bringing your own pillows the ones there were old and stained. I took the mattress pad off the bed I stayed in because it was filthy. Coffee maker was full of mold so scrubbed and cleaned before use. Shower could have been cleaner. Other than those things we had a great stay. Grandson loved the kayak and paddle boat for fishing.

Perfect getaway
Loved this cottage on the lake. Kim was very responsive to all of my questions and concerns. Only thing I was disappointed in was the fact that we had to bring our own sheets and towels. My sister and brother in law drove out from NH, I flew, had we all flown, this would have been a huge inconvenience. Other than that, cottage was perfect! Thank you so much for the use of your home.

Tranquil lake reunion
This quiet lake cottage was a great place to reconnect with college buddies. There were between 4-6 of us here at one time. The kitchen/living are was a nice open layout that connects to the sunroom(one of the beds(queen) is off to the side of sunroom) with lots of windows and awesome views of the lake. There is a nice size kitchen table with 6 chairs and the living area seats 5 comfortably. There are two bedrooms with a double bed in each. The beds were a little worn. We brought our own sheets and towels which was not a problem. The stove/oven is electric, a nice size fridge/ freezer, toaster, coffee maker( a little slow) and stovetop kettle(hot water for tea) all appliances we happily utilized. The shower tub off one of the bedrooms was in good shape and there was plenty of hot water for showers and washing dishes by hand. There is also a smaller half bath. Admittedly we didn’t use boat or paddle boat but we did enjoy the deck and backyard. Loved our two days here and would stay again at this beautiful location.

Beautiful Cottage on Lake 21
We really enjoyed our family get together weekend. This cottage was Amazing, Cute and Very Clean! We enjoyed everything from cooking on the Grill, to sitting in front of the gas fireplace, the porch had a beautiful view of the lake and the fire pit was ready, with plenty of wood for a wonderful evening fire. The wildlife was so cute and adorable with everything from baby squirrels to fuzzy ducks, baby turtles and chipmunks. I loved this place and would definitely come again!!

Very quiet on a beautiful lake
The pictures gave an accurate view of the property. Actually it was nicer than the pictures portrayed. If you are looking for fancy with high end stuff, this isn’t it. If you are looking for an amazing week with peace and quiet in a stress free place, this is perfect. The weather was low 90’s and high humidity while we were there. No air conditioning but there are many fans to use. There seems to be a perpetual breeze off the lake. Leaving the windows open and a fan or two and it was very comfortable in the cabin. We had no issues with sleeping. Anyone that loves birds will really love this cabin. There were blue herons, blue birds, various wood peckers, Baltimore orioles, gold finches, cardinals, nuthatches, sand hill cranes, wild turkeys, and countless others. We did not fish on this trip but hear that the fishing is quite good. I do recommend this place and plan to stay here Again for sure.

Loved it!
We felt the pictures of the property misrepresented the number of bedrooms. The 3rd bed was in a porch that wasn’t private. However, the amenities were great and we had a pleasant visit.

Nice cottage on the water.
Nice cottage on the water. Used the row boat that was provided with the cottage and an electric trolling motor to fish for 3 days of off and on rain. Caught over 100 bass and 20 bluegill. The bass averaged 1-2lbs but the quantity was amazing. Only saw 1 other person fishing so the fish aren’t pressured at all. Great fishing!!

Quiet and Relaxing
Cottage was well maintained and clean. Kitchen was well stocked and even the knife's were sharp. The temperature was in the 90's but the owner provides fans. Only drawback to our stay was that we couldn't access the fishing boat which we so wanted to do. The embankment to the lake is quite steep. Our aging knees and hips weren't up to it. Railings down to the lake would have been an added plus!

The neighbors were quiet and their is no noise on the lake like many of the others in the area. I enjoyed staying at this cottage even though a thunderstorm and power outage cut my visit short. I hope to return soon.

Cottage by the lake
We enjoyed our week at this cozy little cottage very much. The fishing is amazing and using the boats was an added “extra”. We swam, fished, boated, had campfires, and just generally relaxed. Everything was great except for a light fixture falling on our children in the middle of the night because it was only secured by a small hook in the wall. That’s ok though as it was a minor inconvenience.

Guys weekend golf trip with a lake view
The place is a perfect little spot for a getaway. The house itself is small but roomy, the two bedrooms are great for privacy while the two couches and third full bed make it big enough to bring the family. The view is great almost all day long as the property has mature trees that cover it and a beautiful view of the lake. We all agree that this place will be one we consider renting again.

Fantastic early spring stay on number 21 lake
We had a wonderful restful stay at this clean and well-maintained property on the shores of number 21 lake. The owners allowed us to use our own electric trolling motor on their rowboat and we were able to tour the lake and go fishing. Delighted to see the mom and dad geese escorting their flotilla of goslings along the lake shore. We are hoping to return every year,
