“My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!”

“We loved our fall getaway at this adorable cabin. The fall colors were gorgeous and the weather couldn't have been better! Sunny and cool temperatures so we could explore the area comfortably as a family with our 2 dogs. We especially loved seeing the freighters lumber past the cabin- our favorite times were lounging on the huge porch early in the morning and late at night when the lights from the freighters drifted past. We hope to return for a summer trip! The cabin had EVERYTHING! It was……

“Nice stay host was great communicator. Metal chairs at kitchen table very uncomfortable. Otherwise beds fine. TV and Living area separate from kitchen. Not open concept. Could use TV down in dining room for sport games on TV nice location distance to restaurants though.”

We had a quiet peaceful stay on this beautiful property! Close enough to visit other areas such as taquanimin falls, white fish point , we even tried yooperlite hunting .
